Why do People waste Money on 15k or FoW armor?

And if you have a 10/10 +30 Sword already, hit the 1 mil limit in the bank, and even have to use another character to hold an extra 100k, what else is there to spend it on. Why buy another sword? You can only equip one at the time and they all behave the same.

Bingo. It shows dedication to the game as well (for some, not the ebayers).

Well, the more generous of us would think it is wasting money. I have now just gotten Drok's armor for my W/R, and I will probably buy a set for my monk when he gets high enough. I might buy a good weapon and shield as better ones come out, but for now, I'm saving up gold to give away to the newer players in Ascalon. I say that if the money can help you or someone else, don't waste it.

trust me on this....it's an accomplishment....and it takes "work" to get the money for that height of armor

I find this just makes new players want free handouts even more than they already do. Nobody wants to work for their money enough as it is.

What really bothers me is how people think about the Sup Abs, I mean comon. It's just one more point of absorption than a major, and a 90k difference in price. I've seen people say things like: "OMG I can't kill you, cuz you wear Supuroer Absotion" all the time. I understand if you are wearing
15k atleast people will notice. But with a Superior Absorption even you will not notice the difference.

Yes, that is a good point. But, I have tests to see if these are good people before I give away. I will make a trade with them for something and accept then whisper, Oops, you are the wrong person, can I have it back? If they give it back they can keep it and get a bunch of other stuff, and if they don't then I never again will trade with them or their guild.

lol i once made this "Guild Wars Jepaordy"....was really fun with 3 ppl....it was whoever did the /highfive emote first and got the answer right got a small prize...it went on for like an hour...plus it goes really wel if got useless stuff off of a uw or fow run and dont feel like sellin it...i actually gave 2 ectos away for the grand prize winner of the game

because it looks nice and we are vain. Why else have a perfect crystalline and magmas shield?

Who cares if people want FoW or 15k, hating them for it just makes you look like a jealous noob. Some people are rich, others aren't. Luckily for me, I get by pretty well, so 15k armor will probably be mine around mid january ^_^.

i just got my FoW armor this mornin ( 5 months of hard farming ) and i love it, its somthin for me to spend my money on when i dont need anythng else.

I don't see anything wrong with getting 15k armor. 60k is pretty damn easy to get now. FoW takes a lot of determination to get though....too much for my tastes.

I sure wouldnt spend 60k on a sword though either....especially a sundering one. So just because you wouldnt spend money on a particular item doesnt mean that people who do so are noobs.

When you've beaten the game with all 3 given PVE slots *gotta hold one for PVP* and they already have best runes/weapons/watever the heck else you can think off, and the expansion dont come out for another 2 months what else are u gonna do?

Now the story of the greedy guildie and the like is where it gets outta hand, i dun mind looking sexy with 15K or FOW armor but since it no different then 1.5k in statistics its last on my perfect list

Well if you dou farm split it with a guildie; they have the gumption and ambition to farm for it; why not profit from it.

my Mo/All already had everything else so I crafted FoW armor; I get alot of ppl bashing it; but I stay cool and cailm they eventually see it my way.
but yeah I think it mostly shows status; as for ebay I dont really know, Iv got almost everything I need xpet a place to spend all these skill points(im not buy'n 50+skill cap's to do nothing with them )

Still searching for my perfect wand tho..... but yeah Gotta look fly.
