Why sooo much lag?!

This game lags like CRAZY on my computer...I meant everytime i try to turn or move...this happens especially in town...

I have Cable though thats the thing...anybody know why This game is lagging so much for me?...And how can I fix it?

well what kind of pc you have...

All of you have to remember that this is a non pay online game.. so there servers are not going to be HIGH CLASS servers.. I am sorry, but one good thing about paying monthly for a game is techs always being there and having reliable servers. Now Im not saying that all MMORPGS servers are perfect.. but they address issues very fast etc.. I have never had an issue.

So, Lag you say... well... ya.. lots of people playing on there servers.. Only so many districts you can connect to.. and then your connection. It has to be very good.. cable is good.. make sure your isp not having any problems.

Also what are your pc specs ? this can help in performace

Sorry that sounds like BS to me... i payed for wow for like 4 months and thier "high class" servers were junk, it was the only problem anyone complained about and they couldnt fix it even though they said they tried to. About GW thought i dont lag too much, the only problem i run into is occasionally my wireless will screww up or rarely the game or servers actually will lag. I just turned my graphics way down and it seemed to help, though many ppl dont believe adn say o its not the graphics... but u could still try it, its not like its hard to do

Hmm so I still play WOW now and never lag...... All im saying is.. lag issues will be resolved faster on a pay server then a non pay... its just fact!...

And wow has improved hudge ammounts since the first stages of the patches and lag..... thats a fact

For those of us with parents who dont buy everything we want thats not always an option, also for my GW servers run better than WoW ever did for me (I do have a nice computer however, which I earned.)

Exactly its different for everyone.. Also.. what alot of people do not do is.. when you create a character on WOW.. you need to find out what servers are closest to you.. most poeple just pick what all there friends play on and realize later its the shitty one for there connection.

Do tests on the servers and find an average ping connection speed.

I bet half of wow players play on servers to far from them. And complain.... about lag... go figure.....

PC Specs?.....Well you see Im not quite sure on how to check up on all that stuff but I'm pretty sure I meet up with atleast the minimum requirements because my comp is pretty new

The only thing I might not have is Direct x 9.0c.....but for some reason i can't dl that....is that a problem?!?!?!

Just download directx 9.0c and see what happends...your pc will only performe better...not worse

Thats the thing....I can't....

Whenever I try to dl it, it will dl ok but when I start the installation it says....A file needed for this cabnit can not be trusted or sumthing like that and then the installation terminates.....This happens every single time.....

Does anyone know how to fix that?

That sounds like a Millenium Edition bug that I patched on somebody's computer a long time ago. Go to search the Knowledge Base at Microsoft Support, click the advanced search option, choose your OS edition in the dropdown and then search for "exact phrase" for exactly the error message that you are getting. That usually generates some decent results for me when I'm having Windows issues.
