Cancellation of Preorder by Best Buy

So basically they took my money then canceled my preorder here is what they had to say minus the order number stuff.

Anyone else have this problem? I hope this doesn’t affect my preorder key.

Doesn't this mean it wasn't charged?

I had this happen to a guildmate also.....I believe he is just going to get it from a local store now......I got it from Best Buy myself, but it was a local store so I didnt have any troubles. Sorry I cant help you anymore then the comfort that your not the only one...

Best Buy did the same to me. I even tried calling the number to have them extend the time before they canceled my order. When I did, it just sent me to recorded message saying the same thing, so the canceled it. They also gave me a HARD time the first time I tried to get it due to some idiot at the help desk.... oh well, that is a long story that does not need to be gone into.
Since I live so far from anything resembling a computer store, I just re-ordered it. Incidently they are sending me another pre-order package so I can hand out the keys in it to tempt (un-converted) friends into the game. *grin* Take the good with the bad. Re-order quickly and the beta keys will be here before Thursday!

Yeah, ill have to look through my statements to check but I swore they already debited me 10 bucks for the pre-order. It was a long time ago so im probably wrong .

Edit: well I can't find my statement for that month but i do have an e-mail record saying they charged me.

This is kind of retarded that they dont deal with preorders diffrently than backordered items...

They did the same thing to me. Except when I preordered the final game the preorder package was shipped to me for only the $1.50 shipping charge. You might want to try harder to find that purchase record or they might not give you credit for the $10 if you reorder from them. You might also have gotten away with just the shipping charge, too.

I went and got it at EB this time, and gave a buddy the preorder package. I might have an extra weekend pass out of this, and if I do I'll probably post on GWGuru next week.

Sorry to be a little off topic, but did Best Buy take your name when they did your pre-order pack? Mine didn't and they alos didn't give me a recipt for my purchase, so I have not proof that I acutally purchased the product.

If you have to you could take down the box, if it was purchased on a credit card you can bring down your statement as proof.

Yes, just buy the pre-order box. And you dont have to get it at Best Buy. CompUSA, GameStop, Frys, and otehr places have this Pre-Order boxed package. from $5-10. DOnt worry. And you didnt waste your money. It clearly states you weren't charged.
