Rushing ice caves for someone and getting a gold armor out of chest for a superior vigor and then the last boss jonar dropped a gold armor which my customer gave to me for a tip which i salvaged for a superior absorption.

Managing to survive the gank of Avicara when I zoned into Mineral Springs with henchies!

Luckiest drop? Probably my first Superior Vigor. Was running with a guildie in Nebo Terrace, he was showing me how to farm Ettin's and voila: I unlocked a Superior Vigor and a Superior Fire Magic rune. He only got some purples.

Best thing happened to me in GW: finding a group of people who care the same about PvP as myself: my guildmembers. They're really a nice bunch of people and if it wasn't for GW, I probably wouldn't have met them.

OK, that last paragraph probably doesn't fit in this thread...

Getting a black dye, a sup absorption, sup fire, and a sup ranger rune from farming Charr for carvings for the halloween treats. Then selling the rediculous treat sets for 2K each a month later.

Oooh and 1 Superior vigor from an ettin.

haha, I still have 50 of each. I wonder how much they are worth now.

picture this:
6 team tombs fight. our team beats one of the teams, and its 3 teams left.

we went to fight them and got killed, except for a mesmer, who slipped away unnoticed.

the mesmer then returned to res a warrior (not a monk), who had already ressed. the only chance left - kill a ghostly hero!

the other two teams were fighting, and we saw the purple's ghostly hero in the fight. the two players rushed it, and it was dying!

right before they could have killed him, an enemy dealt the final blow, giving the yellow team a bonus, while we got screwed.

the two players ran to search for the yellow's hero, and after 2 minutes they found him in the yellow base, unguarded!!!

we won the match

My 3rd green drop was a Razorstone I think, that was a nice surprise =)

My friend first talks to be two days ago and says he got 100k for some rune he got in Kryta off a chest (it was Superior Absorbtion). He had only been playing maybe 2-3 weeks when he got it. He didn't even know its value.

Skip to today. He asks to come along with me while I Ettin Farm, saying he could help in some way, or something. I basically make him sit there and keep Blood is Power/Blood Ritual on me while I set the stock of traps, then make him run out and aggro ettins into my traps for me. The Ettins fall most of the time to just hitting the stock of traps.

The second group of Ettins killed drops a Gold Plaudron for him...He IDs it..Its of course a SUPERIOR ABSORBTION (I even made him show it to me).

After that, outta 3-4 trips to the area, I get 1 Gold Plaudron (sup beast mastery), and 2 purps (minor vigor, and major tactics). He gets 2 Golds (The Sup abs., and major fast casting), and 3-4 purps (Major fast casting again, major marks, and some others).

So I am the luckiest man in the world..I get to...watch my friend get all the items I've been coveting for awhile farming ettins...

He is a cool guy though, I guess he gets the irony in it all..because he did share in the drops among the colored ones, and offered 25% of the profit off the Superior Absorbtion.

I've not had much luck in GW, most expensive drop I've had is a req 8 celestial sword, 15^50 uninscribable.

I got a mini gwen last christmas day on one of my PVP characters bday .

Wow, I just noticed the bump, but this is a good thread so dont care.

I had 20k left on my entire account. I didn't know what to do with it, but I always like to keep my gold in case I really want something to get. (I'm not a person who gets money easily, quite the opposite.)
I decided that buying a Coffer of Whispers would be fun... and I really hoped I wouldn't regret it. It was the first time I ever opened a Coffer, or spent more than 10k on a single item.
I got a Mallyx The Unyielding mini pet and sold it for 100k+10e.

I had around 10k in my account.
I got hacked.
I complained to Anet.
I got the account back.
I went to xunlai.
And I had 100k, plus one tormented weapon that wasn't mine and two gold minis unded that weren't mine.

Got a req9 crystalline from HoH chest after like 2 years of HAing. Before that I've never got a drop that was worth more than 100k. Had r5 zaishen on other acc and r4 on current acc and not even a single good drop.

1st 2 runs in sorrow brohns rod & ragos staff

and back in the ettin days after 3 days of farming got 2 sup abs...

Have you read the first post? the guy is actually happy with a +27 fortitude mod and he sold it for quite some gold
I feel so spoiled now, wish I could be happy as a kid in a candystore again.
