The Christmas Update

No idea, but I was just thinking it's a long time till Chapter 2's released, surely we must get something before then. I was thinking they'd probably do something for Christmas, but who knows.

Two thumbs WAY UP!!!!! I love this Idea. I'm sure the players would have an AWSOME time with this.

Great Idea!!! I hope that the powers that be catch wind of this great/ creative idea. I would enjoy doing that to the nth degree.

I've decided to res this thread by asking, how many people think something needs to be done for a 'Christmas Update', like the Summer one. Because, it is still a long time away till Chapter 2 comes.

Yes, they need to open up new area....

but slight off topic... one of the idea I have for Xmas is they have a Snow ball Arena. It will ignor armor, lv, hp, your skills and attributes, and almost certain of (3?) hit kill. but you can also earn Snow Ball Skills, like Tripple Throw, Blank Range Thorw, Dodge Snowball, and more. That would Spark Alot interst back into PvP games.

I love it! And perhaps there could be lots of obstacles everywhere that can't be shot through, so you can get out of the way of snowballs and everyone would be just be running around everywhere like crazy.
Also, snowball fighting with AI! Maybe even, you could take snowballs into the Charr lands and pelt them at those beasts!
On that note...why the hell do I still have two ice cubes from SF in my belt pouch! (why didn't they melt...lol)

In town, drinks machine, you buy a certain drink that does different things, and ice cubes from SF will make them more effective...and you can use them outside and they give you stuff like energy/health regen, decrease in death penalty, more adrenaline, etc. ahhh.

Oh, brother, you guys want yet another holiday event? You know we just hate those!

I figure we had the best Halloween Event ever. In the history of gaming, there has never been an event that sweet. (I know, I'm prejudiced, but I don't know too many people who would argue with me! )

So now another holiday approaches and, well... let's hear more ideas, hmmmm?

I think it would be neat of quest rewards came in presents... or if somehow presents were incorporated with regular game play for a little while. Maybe all chests become presents during the holiday season?

A big ole xmas tree in every city if possible, or at least LA/Ascalon/main cities, and you can by decorations from the merch and add them to the tree. Or decorate yourself with garland or something, eh?

A holiday-specific quest would be really neat, maybe something to do with rudolph the red nosed reindeer? It might be too cutesy, but c'mon, it's the holidays! Everything is supposed to be too cutesy and sweet and wonderful


Other suggestions folks?

Even just a Christmas themed town would make me happy.

But items like the pumpkin helm are super awesome, and I would love to see more of those.

I was just thinking that rangers could get a red-nosed reindeer for a pet. By completing a very hard quest, of course. Don't need every ranger to have one. Maybe if their normal pet is replaced for the duration of the holidays.

Dwarven Eggnog, Santa Hats, idk.. one handed menorah foci from a Hannukah Harry collector, Kwanzaa hats?

Maybe LA dedicated to xmas, Drok to Kwanzaa, and Denravi or Tombs to Hanukkah? Or maybe just winter themed to leave out the religious aspects..

but GO DWARVEN EGGNOG!

Don't make it too religious, make it more general, the winter season theme.

1.Christmas trees in the main cities
2.Snow in as many places as possible
3.Collectible items - the equivalent of the potions, but this time they are just fun things. Santa hats, snowman heads, snowball in hand, garlands, etc
4.Presents
5.Games with a Snowman (not Santa, Snowman is for all religions, generally representative of winter)
6.In Comp Arenas and Team Arenas, no matter what you enter with you have a snowball as a weapon, and a few skills like long toss, curving toss, fast throw, face throw (blinding). Would be fun, but obviously should not be put in for longer than a week or so.
7.The frog in Lion's Arch turns into a big Mr Frog in a suit, wearing a snowman head and doing the ranger dance!
8.Whatever anyone else thinks of, anything would be great
