In addition to guild capes ...

... I would like to suggest that they also add other forms of guild insignia representations. I personally dont like the look of the cape and wish there was a little variety in the guild fashion display.

My ideas:

1 - A shield emblem for shield users.
2 - The guild insignia that is imprinted across the back/front of your torso armor.
3 - A tatoo of your guild emblem for those that use tatoos on their torso.

I have to say... having my guild emblem emblazoned across the back of my Rogue's Attire would look seriously badass.

So lets just say that it would be fun to have more options. Whatever they may be.

Yeah more options. Even if I don't like your ideas... Or well, I don't think they are that easy to implement.

those are way good ideas. i also think it would be great to have other things that signify being in a guild, or that could show your true colors other than the cape. but.. capes are freekin hot.

apart from your guild... what about personal things, and trinkets to wear. i know that coloring makes you differ from others, but wouldnt it be awesome to be able to costomize yourself a little bit with other items. really though it's awesome how much everybody already differs from one another. i like it. hehe!

i'd love this, partly coz if i use a shield it'd look great to have the guild symbol on it... but also because i'd love to pay a ton of money to get my own cape design. I hate the cape from my guild but i love having a cape! So i'd like to just have a regular cape where you choose maybe 2 colours to go on it, then have your guild mark somewhere else...

capes for non guildies i think is a good idea but have a limited number of emblems so that you can tell that the person is not in a guild

mmm....I see where you're coming from but take it from me...(speaking as a graphic design student) it would just create more confusion. It would sort be like changing the color of "stop" signs from red to purple. Although you'd know it was "stop" sign when you came up to the intersection, you'd have to put more thought into it before you catch on to it. Besides the point of guild capes is to, show that you're in a guild, it's the main concept of the game.

Although, you do give me an idea! Perhaps if there was some kind of guild apprentice program, where those in the guild learning new skills would wear a special cape while in training (like you mentioned). Or how about if the guild leaders had special additions to their capes that would seperate them from the general membership? Maybe even officers as well. This idea is pretty impromtu, so i'm not going to steal the show and let you and anyone comment away on this ;-)

I think it is a good idea to just keep the cape and nothing else cause there is nothing wrong with the cape

Good idea!!!

And also when you enter battle in a PvP area my cape changes its color so all that is there is the symbol so if it was somewhere else it would still look as "kick-ass" or "Swweeeeet" (quotes for Eric Cartman-South Park)

the capes should be more like capes though, they are not long enough, they look like little curtains covering your back. and also yes keep the cape but, maybe make it more like a cloak (with a possible hood)???

God yes please! Capes are short.

And great post, more guild customization please. It is GUILD wars after all.

It would be cool if you had the option to put the hood on and take it off, and have it animated. that'd be nice if possible.

Maybe you're just too tall?

haha too tall... anyways i only have the slider halfway up with all four of my characters, and the ability to take the hood on and off was in my mind that would be cool you could be the misterious hooded ranger or necro

I would be happy if it was a cloak. But that's just me.

Great ideas, iczer.
Although I was happy with the capes at first, they are just too small: on taller characters they simply look ridiculous.
