Not sure if this is the right place but can't think of anywhere else to post it. Just wondering if Judge's Armor for monks works the same way as Knight's Armor for warriors. ie if I buy one piece is the armor+10 vs physical applied to my entire body or just to the area that the armor covers?

No. The only armor bonuses that are global are the Knight's/Ascalon damage reduction and the +15 while casting for Mesmer armor. All other armor bonuses are locational.
