new races

will we ever be able to choose another race???(sry if this has already been posted somewhere. if it has, link it) i mean humans okay... but it just looks weird. it would be cooler if there are elves, dwarves, oompa loompas, cheesepeople, etc. thx.

There is a good possibility races will come with further expansion packs. Though those new races would really just be extra classes (I don't see them ever offering human-warrior, elf-warrior, etc). The game is balanced around classes and their skill-sets. Adding in races which further modify the existing design would be rather pointless.

well, they could add this for aesthetics. not everything has to be to add about mechanics - sometimes its about imagination and role-play.

Yeah, It would be nice to be able to choose another race and get new character models for each profession. Like a Kyrta Warrior. Same skills and stats, just different looks for the character and armor. Maybe they could do some race specific items, or armor types too.

ArenaNet made great efforts in making the world of Guild Wars different from the Orc/Elf/Hobbit fantasy world prototype. Although I don't care much about having or not having races, I sure do not want to see the generic fantasy races.
