Hunter's Shot quest Post-Searing

I am a lvl 8 Ranger/Monk... and I have a dilema. I have a choice to give up my pet (and save a skill point) to ger Hunter's Shot. I was wondering when I could get a good pet again... and if it is worth it. My pet is lvl 8. Thanks

You can get pets all over the place. Just wander around for a while. There are a few in Old Ascalon, but most are found after that.

Would it be a decent pet however? Or would I have to lvl it up to my lvl?

Their level will be appropriate to the area you find them in. For instance, if you are in a zone with lots of level 15 monsters, any tamable pets you find will also be at level 15 right out of the box. They will then continue to level up until they reach the cap (lvl 20 -- same as for your character).

Where would be a good place to find a pet? I just goty into Post-Searing so I am sorta new to the area rofl. Thanks!

Anywhere in the wilderness areas should have some pets if you wander around long enough. Immediately outside of Ascalon I have seen Moa birds.
