Consolidated Err 7 and Lag Thread

I'm happy to say, that my lag issue appears to have cleared up. have had 7 hrs of uninterrupted GW.

Ditto.. seems to have been the start of pvp extreme that caused it for me..

Yup - the lag has cleared - after reformatting my PC twice - it looks like it was a server problem.....

now to get some faction!

The game ran fine for most of yesterday, however just this second it's come back with a vengeance. The worst thing about this though isn't the lag making the game unplayable, it's the fact that ANet haven't said a single word about it, nothing even acknowledging the problem let alone that they are working on a solution. I hope PvP X bombs big time so that it might be the wake up call ANet need to fix this bloody issue rather than focus solely on an event that is going to be ruined by the very same issue that they seem to be ignoring.

Holy crap the lag is crazy today. Sometimes it doesn't even load the dam map! I wanna get at least 150k faction before PVPX ends!

The lags and lockups are back....Guildwars is basically unplayable now for me - It not my PC, its a problem GW have and dont really seem to be doing anything about, or at least giving us a heads up.

I start Guildwars , click on my Character who gets auto zoned somewhere and bam reaches 100% after 5min and then when the outpost is graphically visible on my screen i get locked, i cant move.

Try moving into the international districts, it helps...... some of the time.

yes , but only when your in a town / mission area - its no good for actually playing the game .... this is a complete joke

I'm finding moving into international districs triggers off the lag, loading screens just don't load. Yesterday it seemed to disappear all evening for about 6-7 hours around 7pm GMT..

Euro servers seem ok, American which i just moved back from seem worse, pvp is impossible.. A lot of people within my guild dont seem to be getting these problems just a lot of people especially from england who i know.

yeh im stuck in inter districts, i wanna move back to euro, but as A.net didnt think about their actions, they put un-even amount of changes so u cant actually be stuck at your home districts, i hope they change it with the *summer* update, i tryed to email them, but i needed to create some sort of crappy account, i made one, emailed them again and it still said i needed an account :? beats me

Yeah im in the UK but I use the US servers and have done for months now - and never experienced all these lags and lock ups.........until 2 days ago.

so..starting the game and entering password then getting a pop up window of

conecting...

with a cancle button is normal? with this pvp weekend, is everyone and his brother PvPing and hogging bandwith and sever time?

edit: sorted itself out....must have tried to log in during a lag spike.
(remember those occurances in soma..it used to blue-screen-of-death me for that....thank the server gods GW dosent give me them)

also...noticed towns are quieter, and fewer players in the mission areas than when theres no PvP bonus weekend going on....sugest they next do a PvE Party in the Arch ^^ someone already doing a free show and karaoke in english 1 lol...1 necro girl singer and 3 fighers playing guitar, with a mesmer flute acompnement hehe

No, the lag was somehow introduced around 2 days before PvPx kicked off. My guess would be that they loaded the new code onto the servers at that time. Also, in response to someone above. Yes, the lag was cleared for around 12hrs. It went away somewhere between 6-8 GMT, and returned around 9:30 GMT this(27th) morning.

EDIT: Err=7 ing like crazy now. Wouldnt have thought a "we are looking into the problem" would have been too hard to come up with would you?

This is ridiculous, 3 days of this and not even a word from ANet saying they know of the problem. Instead, they continue to advertise PvP X.

I hope PvP X dies on it's arse, as ANet seem content to let GW do...

Yeh, isn't it strange that the lag clears when its the American evening and is 2 in the morning for euros... hmmm

Lag is back at 3am GMT. Cant even connect to GW. Never mind, 5 hrs was probably adequate.

I hate how sporadic it is. First round, everything is fine for everyone on my team.

Second round, 1 minute in, neither I nor the ele on my team can attack or use skills. We can run around, and she can talk, but my messages take 5 minutes (literally) to go through.

Somehow, the 2 monks on my team end up winning. Round 3, the ele drops, and one of the monks gets lagged hard. THe other monk and I are fine again. We lost, and I quit.

I hope this gets better soon. Maybe they'll extend it till Wednesday due to lag or something.
