Powershot Vs Point Blankshot

After testing both skills in the last beta, Powershot and Point Blankshot, I found that the only difference between the skills was that Powershot seemed to recharge faster, wouldn't it have been better if Point Blankshot did more damage than Powershot as it has only half the range. I may be missing some aspect of this, if so please correct me if I am.

Both suck. Use Hunter's shot instead.

well for starting out as long as you dont need the energy for other things they are usefull for that extra kick.

as for which is better i think point blank shot has half the range so power shot is a little better.

They're also under different attributes- if you're pumping your expertise, but not taking marksmanship up all the way(maybe investing in wilderness or a different attribute instead), point blank shot can be a good damage-dealer. Since Marksmanship really has most of the damaging attacks, you'll be somewhat limited in bow damage without high marksmanship, but if you're wanting to specialize in something else, but want something to boost your attack damage without investing points in marksmanship(besides what you need for your bow), point blank shot can work.

Clearly, point blank shot is superior in close range due to the sole fact that power shot has double the recharge. This means that ideally, you can pull off two point blank shots in a period of six seconds against one powershot.

Of course, if you are the type of ranger to stay back from enemies, then power shot would be a better option.

I didn't use Point Black Shot at all in the BWE because i was going for the whole 'ranged DPS deal' being R/E and just nuking like hell out of everyone.

continuing on what freyas said, just use the one in the attribute like youre using, or if youre doing both attributes see which one you find better. If you find that using point blank shot annoys you because it keeps making you run towards your foe then use power. If you find power takes too long to recharge, use point blank.
