Will Walmart release Guild Wars?

I haven't been able to get myself to go get the pre-order, so I was wondering when the game releases on the 28th, would Walmart have these on the shelves? Or atleast have them the following day? Or is it a possibility that they won't even carry Guild Wars at all?

If you plan on getting the game on the day of release or even the next day why wouldn't you preorder it? Not only will it insure you get a copy on the day of release but it also allows you to start playing before those who don't preorder.

I just did a search at www.walmart.com and they have the prima guide but don't have the game in their stock system. I would say it appears they will not be carrying the game.

Walmart doesn't carry pre-orders, and they tend to sell it cheaper then the competitors.. so... yeah.

All the other places, like Best Buy (quite far from where I live), Futureshop (Looks like they've been trying to scam people out of their pre-order status), EB (costs about 10ish dollars more then the locals), that's pretty much all the other places that I can get this game from (I'm from Canada, so I don’t have more of a variety of places to choose from). So Walmart, in my opinion, would be the place for me to get a copy of Guild Wars.

- Yea, but sometimes they don't have it on their site, but then release it. So I was hoping someone from AN would put some light towards this direction.

@Forget Walmart! I'm going with Futureshop! The price went down from 49.99 to 39.99 with a free useless Tshirt! ... I really do want to pre-order it, but I don't wanna get screwed over because of employees not putting the pre-order status into their computers.. (even if I work on the release date, I can go in the morning when they open, will they probably have the stock ready by then?)

Just went down to Walmart - Guild Wars is on the Coming soon placard - it says early May.

Staff said they would have it as quick as anybody else...we will just wait to see

I just checked the Wal Mart site and says that it'll be $39.99 but says release date is "early May".
