Before the first updates ......

1. Why the rune traders....i loved the days when majors went for 5 k or more and minors at 400 .and sup vigors at 100k .....weren't those the days even though i couldn't buy that then ....isnt that wat we hoped to get when we were lvl 20 ...now you buy majors and even sup cheap ...sometimes cheaper then minors ....wats the deal ...this is no fun ....although it does help the less fortunate .....But 30 k for a sup vigor is junk change now ...

2. Wat is the deal with A net ...this nerfing is about ridiculous...especially the Uw ....i mean we spend like 2 hrs down there for nothing now...i don't see to many drops on runs...and now there nerfing farming spots....all but mine..hehe......cuz i'm not tellin .....i get about a gold a run...

3. Only thing that is still cool to get is FoW armor ...which doesn't seem to uncommon now...but give it a month and everyone will ahve it ....

4. And i'm starting to hear about a GW 2 or an update is this true ???

5. Oh ...man there are too many guilds i think ...just about everyone has one...i would say 50% don't ahve 10 members ...should be more restrictions on starting a guild...they should make it where you can just buy a cape for yourself instead of stealing all the cool guild names...lol.....oh now there only 30 k to get one....lil cheap ...use to be like 80 k for a hall

I had no problems with 400 for minor, probably a k or two for major, but the superior at 100k was ridiculous. Now it seems more realistic in some terms, 5-10k (last time I checked).

FoW armour is hard to get and takes a long time. That's the way it should be though. It's for the players that have a lot of time, something for them to keep playing. These players don't mind a bit of grind. Which is what I like about this game, there is grind involved for those who enjoy it, but it isn't nessesary.

I don't have the time to farm for all the gold I need so I for one am glad that the prices have dropped. 100k for a sup vigor? I can honestly say I would never own one then. 444 hours and the most I have ever had (gold) at one time was 20k.
I hate the idea of spending hours on end farming for gold.

(though I will admit that I'll waste hour apon hours questing and exploring the world)

Those were not the good old days.

I remember the first time I got a rare item, in Gates of Kryta-From a Drake none the less. Of course, now I can kill maybe 20 by myself, and still get more gold from the barrels in the mission.

Ahh, the drake runs. My first ever gold bow...which stuck with me until after ascension.
If only guild wars was available for people to play solo in offline mode. Farm as much as you want with the best possible loot but any loot gained isn't transferrable to your online characters. cool.
We could call it a trip down memory lane character, the good old days character or the nerf bat dodger character.
Oh well, roll with the changes folks.

Yes, i remember the old days.

gimme a break, lol.
the game isn't even half a year old, and you talk about 'the old days'?
let's presume it was meant ironical...

as for your points:
1) i prefer the current situation. now i don't have to watch the channel for a rune or endlessly to sell it. and they are cheaper. don't have a problem with that.

2) good for you. keep it indeed to yourself. happy farmin'!

3) eh, ok. I know that I for one won't be able to get it for months time. but i don't need it either, thank god.

4) expansion coming somewhere in 2006 i believe, a new chapter (Sorrow's path and another one..) ccoming this summer i believe. 'gw2' haven't heard of.

5) don't have a problem with many guilds. as for 'stealing' guildnames, well if intentional that sucks. but i doubt someone did it intential. and first come, first get the name.
same thing with playernames.

Some of us are talking about early last year though at E3, and I'm sure some of the Alpha players will step in and be elite to say "Yeah, well we were playing at E3 2003! BEAT THAT!"

What the hell is this nostalgia? Old days? GW isnt old, there are no old days yet...ten years from now people will talk about GW old days that havent even happened yet.

Heh, I remember my friend had a pet as a E/Mo. Everyone was always so confused about it. He got a charm pet skill ring and used it.

Anyone remember when you had to return to the outpost if you died in an Explorable Area rather than automatically ressurect? If that still happened today, things would be pretty different.

Ah you can never solve this kind of things. There r the anti-grinders and the anti-nerfers. You can never satisfy both. :/

366 hours here. I have 49k on Sagius Truthbarron, 9.k on Orian Mage Henthmen and 8k on another.

I have only farmed once, that was today. The way I farm is I'll go to a place like some area in ascalon, explore the map while killing things and then I went to Fort Sludge and fought around there a bit. Then I went and fought to the Ironhorse mines. That's not really farming, though.

So yah, I have more gold then I'll ever need and I've never really farmed before.

Omg is that all you can discuss? How much things costs and how much cash you get per 'run'.

The majority of the players of this game are becoming a joke.

Who remembers the old days, killing the lvl 4 Scale that uses ice spear for the first time under the waterfall after dying the first 2-3 attempts.

Who remembers the old days, when across the wall quest had a few big trees and about 1/4 the map area.

Who remembers the old days, When GW was a lag free, bugless shining example of how any game should play.

Who remembers the old days, when just by looking at armor you could tell if you were pvping alongside a premade or a lvl 20 pve character.

Who remembers the old days, when throw dirt and traps was the sign of a ranger who knew his build, and not the sign of an accomplished forum w---e.

Who remembers the old days, when people in Ascalon could actually SPELL in English.

To the OP, do you remember any of this? Or has the size of your hoard of Gold and l33t items eclipsed everything else?
