Build question(Pets)

For soloing will a Ranger/Necromancer do good if they are both set up for pets? Charm and Minions?

Red, a well played necro goes a long way.
I know it's now PvE, but in PvP a necro that can control his minions and knows his stuff can be a real pest, not to mention all the hexes.

Rangers are a bit odd at the moment in regards to pets, if you want to check out a thread about it, do a search for (pet corner).

Good info can be found there about pets and their strengths and shortcomings.
