Worth stockpiling bean cakes and wine?

in all honesty, id say no. everyone went crazy over the orbs and i saw em selling for 200- 500per. but if the only use for them is the mask, then theyre pretty much worthless to me as the quests give 240 per char and SURELY youll get a good number opening some prizes (i actually regret farming the 150 i did).
as for the wine, as i posted in another thread the "base" value of it is 375gold (thats 15 gold per ticket with 25 tix per prize). considering i have no problems whatsoever buying monastery credits for 100per and trading for ale, i wouldnt pay any more for the wine (and people probably arent going to want to sell it that low). now if it were a spiked version that got you drunk like the spiked eggnog (and someone on the thread i started has verified that its definately not), it would hold value for sure.
the bean cakes are the "wild card" of the lot i think. i personally have no use for them, but i can see how theyd be helpful to any non-runner type character going for the explorer titles. running in town seems to me like its only useful in HoD or kaineng. maybe someone out there will create a new droks running build around em (freeing up any run skill slots for something else), but it wont be me
so yeah, im gonna have to say (at least until someone proves otherwise) that these prizes are VASTLY inferior to the wintersday gifts.

Grr... didnt know those bean cakes only worked in town. So, basically this entire event is nothing but a gold sink for Anet. Think about it, these items are at rediculously jacked up prices. The two new titles can only be gained really by afking on the 9 or 16 spot games, both of which have a negative expected value.
O well, at least I managed to get bout 40k for the orbs I farmed before the thing started
Maybe they'll come up with some new items to get

i dont think its worth stocking up. they have no great use when the even is over and i believe anet wanted it that way. Remember they aren't trying to favor farmers and have players sell them. They agree with gamers in general that play the game for the fun of it, not to farm. Just like how they are against runners and they try to prevent that.

Sugar Rush is a enchantment applied to you after eating a Red Bean Cake in town.
Enchantment Spell. For 5 minutes, you move 25% faster.
Sugar Rush is removed if you leave town.
