Dragon Mask only exchangable at the END of the EVENT??!!!

There has been various translations from Tawain/Japan GW sites and some are saying that the Dragon Mask will need 250 orbs but will only be exchangable at the end of the event on 5th of July???

Seriously if thats the case i dont know whats going on in Anet's head or the village idiot who came up with that idea.

It was bad enough in last events when the "Mask giver" only appears for a few mins in 3 hourly intervals but now it will only appear at the last day of the event? Good job Anet, it seems they learn nothing at all from previous events.

Imgaine the senario where you farmed for days for the orbs only to momentrly forget to log in and missed the event.GG. I seriously hope i am wrong in this interpretation and the surprise ending is the same old silly fireworks.

My worst hopes are filled..and then some...*sigh*.I can only hope the PvP,quests and mini-missions give at least >20 Orbs,Cause if this turns out to be another Talon Mask BS fest, then I'm simply gonna sell the orbs for profit.

I don't even understand as to why you even have to get THAT many orbs for a hat thats going to be customized to you,AND ONLY YOU.

I hope that they wil be at least as smart as to put a collector in it to do the echange... otherwise its going to be another time without an eventmask.

if all the farming for orbs we been doing can't be used for all our chars to get masks, we gonna have a shit load of pissed off people

I would be wary to believe anything about the event yet, since it hasn't even officially started. We'll just have to wait a few hours and see if theres a reason to be pissed off at Anet.

Exactly, Anet are selfish but arent retarded. They think about any type of public event again and again, over and over to make sure nothing is to go wrong. They would not be dumb enough to get on the bad side of millions of people.

I'd hope they would learn from their past mistake..seeing as how this was a 5-day event, and you can start collecting them now I'd assume its just a trader, or the 'collector' comes every night.

I seriously hope these dang masks do not require 250 effing orbs...I was farming for two hours straight last night and only managed to get 26 of them. Sure, it's easy low level pre farming...but still ....(the naga fangs at least fell from just about everything I killed.) I'm lucky if I get one of these from every 20 or so kills...way too time consuming if you ask me. Also, if the "guy" handing out the masks only appears at the end of the event (which I can't believe anet would do) I could only assume that the person in charge of this event suffered from a massive brain fart on this one. I'll keep the hope alive for a while longer yet and wait for word from them.

Yes orbs are relatively easy to come by - but 250 per char!!!

Where were you farming? I got 35 in about 40 minutes on shing jea island....

250 orbs.. damn who got time to collect that many in 5 days. Also what if you have 6 PvE characters than that is 250 x 6 = 1500 orbs that you need to have!

On top of that, if it another 3 hours to collect your mask event, than there is no way in hell that you can get 6 mask on one day!

Yes, like how we discussed on these same forums on how crap Factions was gonna be a month before it was release but still went on to buy it then come again on these forums again to piss on Anet then?

The purpose of this thread is to garther opinons against this possible notion or if confirmed to aviod dissappointment for those who may not be able to make it to the final day of the event etc or HATEPOST CENTRAL after they get pissed that they got shafted once again like always.

The 250 Orbs for a mask is more or less the case but i hope the mask collection only on the last day isnt for all our sakes.

If I Recall We Did Not Need Anything To Get Teh Pumpkin Helm, Santa Hat, Nor The Antlers.....so Why We Gotta Do All This Farming Crap Now To Get Dragon Helms The Same Way They Did For The Tangu Helm So Retarted Sorry Anet.

Logged in last night right after the update and grouped with a fellow guildie to slaughter everything on Shing Jea Island. At the end of our first run, I had 13 and he only had 6...so maybe I was just lucky hehe.

PS. Im always the "didnt get a gold drop" guy in any other group I'm in so I say i deserved it!

They wouldn't put the collector in at the very end because it stops people from getting the masks on all their characters. I know some people with 12 characters, and they'd be screwed, if it was a 1 time shot.

Has anyone got any info on the stats on the dragon mask or is it just something to put on in a town/city/outpost/guildhall to look cool? and then quickly take it off when you leave. now if the masks were like elemental resist % with a few helpfull mods then hell yeah 250 isnt much but 250 for a mask that has nothing to offer than making you look cool then 250 is well too frelling much ide rather sell them for 1k (going price so ive heard) and laugh at the fools who actually grinded for the orbs.

I get the impression you've forgotten that during all the events so far you've only had one day (and not the whole day either) to get the hats.

In other words, that's exactly the way it's been all the time.

But I agree that it sucks. I'm still annoyed I didn't get my Santa hat because I went to a party on new years eve instead of playing GW.

Was the translation accurate? Maybe it was saying that they would be handing out dragon masks UNTIL the end of the event? I hope it's not true that we'll only get them at the end. That would be just incredibly stupid.....
