1) what the hell is with the Don Quixote references as ur...posting reputation? it drives me nuts! its so...lame...

2)i was always under the impression that ur armor was added up then divided by 5 to get ur average armor [rating/level]...
...but awhile ago ppl were talking about runes being global (which i know they r) and talking about seperate hits to the hemet, etc. can some1 plz clarify/verify this mess? ... so if u had Pre-searing leggings on in Hells Precipice and a monster "hits" u in the leggings, u'd get owned, correct?
if this is the case, GW has become really stupid and i hate that idea. Armor rating/level should be global

The AL of the piece of armor where you actually get hit determinest the AL for that hit. Where you are hit is based on relative percentages (chest is most often, arms, feet, and head are least), adjusted for locational factors, such as you will be more likely to be hit in the head than feet if you are higher up than your enemy.

Or perhaps Don Quixote means that you hang around the buy/sell forums too much.

And no, how is the current armour system stupid? If you forgot to wear your 'box' then someone booted you in yonder nether regions, would you expect your helmet to absorb the impact?

As for the armor system... The armor system works just fine and WE all get it. Maybe GW is a little too complicated for you. (still ROFL'ing about the box/helm comment. hehehe)
