I'm thinking about going for the skill hunter title for one of my characters. To get all of the elites you have to change the secondary to all character types right? I'ld like to spend some time playing the character with the different secondary too. Which primary do you think would be best that plays differently when you change the secondary? Which character would you choose to get the skill hunter title?

I'd use a Monk, simply because LFG might be easier.

Warrior wouldnt be too bad either. You are discriminated against no matter what secondary.

Warrior, can still capture elite skills with ANY secondary class. Just rely on a pure warrior skill bar and you'll do fine.

I have the Skill Hunter title with my ranger. Although it was mainly due to it being my main char, rangers are good because of their versatility, damage/interrupt/conditions....

Didn't have any problems with LFG because i did it all with henchies.

I'd say do it with whichever character you like playing most.

I'm doing it with my Mesmer. My skillbar is straight Mesmer and I've been doing it mostly with henchies. I got the first title this weekend.

I've been doing it with my MM Necro. It's relatively easy to find groups for missions to get those skills, and you can solo the explorable areas with henches relatively easily. You can also do a build with just necro skills, so any secondary works. Got to 90 elites this weekend.

I think your other question, about a class that plays differently depending on its secondary, is a little at odds with the first. It's easiest to skill capture when you don't have to rely on skills from your secondary, so by definition, you won't be seeing lots of differences when you change.

Whichever your main PvE character (the one that wants titles) is

Got Advanced on mesmer, easy enough but then again the whole title is easy. I suppose the easier it is to get in a group the easier the title becomes, since henching the whole time gets boring.

Whichever character you enjoy playing the most. You're gonna need 90 signet of captures for lvl1, 135 for lvl2 and 180 for lvl3. You do get 5k xp(for lvl20s) per elite cap, however that's still a lot of xp.

I got lvl2 on my monk, easy to get into groups or farm trolls for xp. Also working on lvl 1 with my mesmer, hard to get into groups and the trolls tear me a new one every 3-4 runs when I need xp.

I cap mostly with henchies, that way I can leave when I want and the henchies won't leave after they cap their elite.

Mmm! well, just looking this forum for this. My "main" is a Warrior, but I think he will not use any of the elites capped.

My question is: What is the profession that could make more use of capped elites?, maybe that is the question that originally was intended.

The best possible profession must be one of this three:
- Necromancer
- Mesmer
- Elementalist

EDIT: Why is this post in the Canthan Explorers' League?

I won't say what's right and what's wrong (that's mostly a matter of personal preference), I'll just give a quick reason why I did it the way I did.

It's probably smartest, if you want to go for titles, to amass them together on one character, that way you can go for KOABD, PKM++++, and they can be your designated item id'er, chest runner, etc. So consider which character would be most capable of chest running, getting master cartographer, and capping elites. For me that choice was obvious: warrior.

Go for it on a survivor char

By the time you hit R1-2 skillhunter or so you'll have legendary.

For me that choice was obvious: warrior. I am sure the perfect profession for get all this titles is a Warrior, but the only one reason stopping me is my Warrior will never use more than 20 of the 290 elites; also I have almost all elites unlocked already (using PvP faction), so I will spend a lot of time and gold in capturing useless skills for my Warrior.

If you are going for the maxed title master skill hunter it wont be available until chapter 4 so the elite skill hunter is the highest at the moment as master skill hunter requires 380 elites and there is 292 now.
