Once you get to the point where Jamei at Maatu Keep gives you To House zu Heltzer and To Cavalon, take both (assuming you want to do the Kurzick side as well). Once at Cavalon, complete befriending the Luxons. Afterwards, Stolen Eggs (I believe it's called) which takes you to Gyala Hatchery. Complete Gyala (good luck :P) and it will take you to Leviathan Pits, where you can purchase 15k Luxon. At this point you either need to buy jadeite, or farm Aspenwood/Quarry/quests/repeatable missions for it (I assume Alliance battles are out since you are Kurzick). Afterwards, you can do whatever you want - go on to complete Unwaking Waters from the Luxon side, or go back to House zu Heltzer, complete Befriending the Kurzicks, head to Sacred Grove, and complete Unwaking Waters from the Kurzick side. Doesn't really matter the order in which you do things as your only limitations are going to be completing the Befriending Quests.
Your guild/alliance can be Kurzick or Luxon, individuals can only ally themselves with either (so NPCS talk to them), so you are not limited in which side you can do at any time. Quest-giving NPCs will give you quests regardless of how much faction you have for the opposing Faction. Merchants/Traders won't always talk to ya, but who cares?

you can play out both sides, but you got to hold your faction and NOT give into temptation to sell it for Amber and jadeite, until all your characters are through both Hatchery, and Grove. !0000 faction each. Then, only then, should you turn in your faction for whatever you want. Well, that's the quickest way I should say... You can farm faction on both sides to get what you need, but that takes longer...
I have normally play out the luxon side first. since the way is not blocked to cavalon and then once in hatchery go back and do the kurzicks side. IDK. both ways work. just depends what you want to do... It was certainly easier with my 2nd character however when I never sold faction. since its account based the 2nd character breezed into Hatchery and Grove with just 1 quest each... Certainly makes that an easy run in comparison.
