Obsidian (FoW) Armor - W/MO Female - Finally Got it

The ultimate thing I wanted to do in this game: craft a set of Gladiators Obsidian Armor for my female W/MO, and I did it. I wasn't really caring about the look, even though it looks pretty good, but more for the bragging right to say "i did it!".

Yesterday I joined a group, we made it all the way, but I was stupid and forgot the 75k needed. So I tried again after that, made it about half way before idiots starting leaving because a few players died half way through, and we eventually lost after enough left.

And today, I did it on my third try. Put together a group (Myself as a stance tank, 1 bonder, 1 healer, 2 nukers, 2 necros, and a ranger.). First off, 1 necro didnt show from the start. And half way through, we lost a nuker. But the remaining six of us pulled together and did it. Took about 2.5 hours. It will vary depending on your group. My first group when I forgot my 75k did it in about 1.5 hours.

Tips on groups: Cant find one? Start your own. Be very strict and take the time to form a group with smart people. Ask them if they plan on staying and have patience. If you see people saying GO! I would kick them out. It takes patience. You cant just have someone with the class you need. They have to be willing to last, smart, etc.. If anyone wants help, I can come. I know the quests well. And of course this is common sense to most of you, I thought id mention it for the people having a hard time crafting this armor and finding a good group.

Also let me mention: to shorten the time there, it might be wise to have 2 powerful warriors there (1 stance, 1 damage dealer). That was how my first group was when i forgot the 75k, and we did it an hour quicker. I noticed when I was the only tank in my 3rd group, it was hard to take down big groups. We still did it, but it just took a while. So maybe have 2 warriors who can rush in and take aggro/deal damage while everyone else does their thing.

I don't care much about the Obsidian armor, but it's nice to hear someone achieving their goal. Congratulations.

i got it back in the days europe rarely had favour with 5 guys (one monk err=7, nuker and necro "had to go" ).

congrats on getting it. I havn't been able to save my ecto or shards for the boots and pants(only pices that I like on Ranger) due to the fact that I have my step father and Uncle who play and they don't know how to make money. But this weekend and summber Im going all out.

After swearing at whoever thought 100k cap on a character was a good idea, I went back to my storage, picked up the money, and we lost favor.

After swearing at the european guilds for denying my last 3 FoW pieces, I went to bed.

After swearing at the birds for waking me up so damn early, I spent quite a bit more time making groups and dying in FoW. Then I finally got it. It's an awesome feeling when you make the FoW, aint it? =P
