I hate having to find someone with the armor I'm considering before I buy it, makes you feel like a newb.

Good idea... my brother said that they have a system like that in the other mmorpg that he plays and it seems nice.

Come on now! We have those tiny icons - should be more than enough detail for anyone. /end sarcasm

I do buy for the stats - but with Factions having various skins for Druid's armor depending on Canthan/Kurzick/Luxon/Ascalon. I want to see what it looks like. Now I get my stats and my favourite skin.

Wow! Never thought of that. You mean I can make a PvP character with 15K armor?

You should buy armour for the bonuses of each particular type and how they work with your playing style/character strategy, not how it looks. Such trivialities are why there are 15k and FOW armour sets.

The aesthetics of an armor are extremely important. Say you can't decide between being a Fire ele or a Water ele, simply because you like them both. However, you think the water ele armor looks cooler, and so you become a water ele. In this case, aesthetics dominates over use.

But more to the point, MOST casual players will probably buy according to the look, just because they honestly don't see the difference in the armors--they only see the aesthetic side. For these reasons, having a preview of your armor before you buy it would be wonderful.

You can only do that for the normal armors, not the 15k ones. As they are the most expensive, they are too the most important ones to see, as to not waste a vast amount of gold and materials.

Why couldn't you just go into a specific instance like inside an armor shop or whatnot? =P. Besides that wouldn't create as much lag as you'd think.

thats a good idea. i dont kno how many times ive bought gay looking armor, just to salvage it and start over. especially for ppl new to the game, it will save them alot of money which can be hard to get for a noob.
