Did you use common names?

Anyone else regret not using a name convention for your characters, when I first started out and was not in a guild where people needed to be able to identify me across multiple characters, I came up with completly unrelated names...and now Its too late to change live and learn for factions I suppose

My main char is Mistress Yichi, all other chars are like Yichis Warrior, Yichis Ranger... and pvp char is usually Yichis Pvp Char. I just hate tryign to find names to come up with so i just give up

Not sure exactly what you mean by a name convention. Could you be more specific?

material girls one through four (mules)

Well obviously not as can be seen in my character names over below my name.

I kick people who refer to me as "Eseen", "Leto", "Sonia" or "Eir". It's SEKKIRA >:

All of my character names start with P and are in the form of "Adjective abstract-noun".

All mine have the same second name, Brask Dracone, Devlin Dracone etc. The hero trait runs in the family

I came up with a naming convention simply for the purposes of uniformity and so that friends/guildies don't have to guess. All six of my characters from the first campaign are named Rayne, and on the prefix of the last names I try to fit something that would fit with their profession's focus.

Rayne Nightfyre - Me/X (Illusion/Domination)
Rayne Krossfyre - W/X (Swords/Stances)
Rayne Frostfyre - E/Me (preferably Water, but any element)
Rayne Lightfyre - Mo/Me (Healer or Prot)
Rayne Sharpfyre - R/Me (Traps/Interruption)
Rayne Shadowfyre - N/Me (Curses/Blood or MM)

I'm going to stray away from that naming convention with Factions, but my guildies and friends will still recognize the names.

i sort of have a naming convention, as in my first char in all games is always called xuemin, the second yukitoshi, and then miyuji and eika. i've yet to create more than 4 chars in my games.

but since GW requires at least 2 word names:
Xue Min - my chinese name
Yukitoshi Ryuu - this is actually just the japanese version of Xue Min (Liu), splitting Yuki and Toshi didn't look right to me
Miyuji Hime - i tried Mi Yu Ji but was taken, so i just tagged Hime out of lack of imagination
Eika Sakuramori - Sakuramori i pretty much stole from the CLAMP character with the same surname

I like to put Maxiemonster in all my characters their names but didn't want the standard "Lord" and "Sir" and stuff, so I used family names. I got Uncle, Aunt, Mr and Mrs so far. I'd like Grandpa and Grandma, but it's too long to fit in :'( Anyone got any suggestions for my next 2 characters?

I dont regret it one bit, I only wish I would have been able to take certain names earlier. But my guild knows my characters pretty well, but they are

Hire Ed (He was supposed to be a runner for hire, but I never charge money)

Genie of the Vamp
Thirteen Strength

They have no relation with each other when they were new it caused confusion within the guild initially but they know who is who now.

I get this a lot with my characters. None of them have ANYTHING to do with any of the others, so I usually have to tell people "Yeah, this is Chaotic/VGJ, you know me".

But, what do I care? It's not like it's a big problem for me, just a minor annoyance. All my characters feel unique to me, and that helps a lot.

I tend to use Ancient Greek/Roman or slightly changed version of them such as:

Mithrades-Monk. Came from Mithras and Mithradates

Eurydice-Necro. Eurydice is the woman who had to stay in Hades(Underworld)and live amongst the dead forever, because her lover had failed to rescue her by looking back if she was following him when he used his 1 chance to remove her from Hades after she had died. Nice name for a Necro huh?

Livia-PvP Female Just a standard Roman female name

Augustus-PvP Name for Emperor Octavian who was nicknamed Augustus, don't know how to say what it means in English:P

Maybe its my RP background, but I have to give all my characters their own individual names and identities. I spend more time on the name screen than I do on the hair/skin/size screen. :P

Well all my character last names are Dragonhart, with Hart being my grandmother's maiden name. It kind of connectsd them

The first names are from whatever, usually legends or vidioe games.

Ranger: Diana, Greek goddes of the hunt, with her per Bastet, Egyptian cat goddess of protection.

W/Mo: Selene, Grandia II, leader of the Catherdral Knight, she was a villian but I liked the name.

Necro: Lilith Jewish/Babylonian, queen of the dead and stealer of babies, mother of Succubi. She has a rather long story, google her if you want her full story.

Monk: Aslan, The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe

now I just need to come up with a name for an male assassin and female rit

Same here, well, with the exception of Farmer Jim Bob - I knew that would be his name right off the bat.
