What is the worst thing lag has done to you

i recently have been having some connection issues lately and been askin around these forums and in game about what the cause could be.

One of the craziest responses i got was when i was laggin really REALLY bad along with another necro in uw.. and he said he was having massive lagg too..

and so we came to a agreement that the lag is serverside.. well i get a huge lagg spike (the kind where the baddies just stop and sit there.. then you watch your spells start blinkin and then end.. then finnally when all your deffenses are down the lagg spike stops and your dead on the ground)

so he dies next and says this:

"well no better way for a-net to stop farming then to lagg the monks prot spirit out"

I got a good chuckle outa that . but lagg has been hapining alot more lately. and so in the spirit of that, whats the worst thing that lagg has ever done to you? (ie: sold a stack of ecto to merchant)

This past Friday night I was doing Thunderhead Keep with my monk and there was another monk in the party and both of us had trouble keeping team healed during the heavy lag moments. I think there was a few times where members died because our lag was so bad. We ended up beating the mission ok since it was a really good PUG I was in, but the lag was frustrating though. And yes I think I have noticed server side lag increasing a bit lately (mostly during the weekends though). I do have issues with my pc sometimes because it is so old and janky. When I see lag problems and I'm not already in a mission/quest then I reboot the computer and it is usually ok after that.

Well, I wanted to do something on my ranger, and the last place he was in before I logged him out was Droks... which, at the moment, I cannot connect to. And, I was in the UW and the lag isn't the kind where your whole screen freezes, it is like the spells and other people in your party are still moving, so you can see spells flickering off, yet when I go to cast something, it won't go, or all the monsters will freeze and I will go zooming around the map.

I was is a FoW chest Run, i open a chest and a shadow blade drops... I lag out. I dont know the req

running trough that ettin cave to LA. i come to the bridge where you have to dodge the grup of ettins or get bodyblocked. it seems that i get past them OK but about 4 seconds later i teleport backwards in the middle of the ettins at 1/2 hp and dont tell the group to rezone fast enough >_<

alot of inciedents with bridges mostly... damn bridge lag

I was stuck in Thunderhead Keep for a week. When I finally got into a really great group, I lagged out on the very last part. Took everything in me not to cry.

So far, minor difficulties farming trolls, and long loading, but nothing to bad...

I have enough materials for my FOW chest. I waited on favour for America for a long time last night, then joined a group to forgemaster. We cleared the way to Forgemaster with only 1 monk because 1 monk dropped at start. And before we do the quest in the cave, some people lagged and left, we couldn't do that quest. I guess I must wait more to get my chest

Yeah I haven't had so many problems yet either. Mostly a few times in RA or somewhere lagging the first 45 seconds of the match and then find out we're all dead. Usually the worst lag I have during a session is right after the loading screen for the first place I am after I sign in. After that it tends to be alright for the most part.

Losing to a rank 950 guild at rank 112

Different game but... Lost a hardcore (death is permenant) character with several hundred hours played, due to a spike of lag that lasted about 20 seconds. hehehe I did see it coming with my POS Geforce MX 420 and 256 Ram. Hench the reason, "Queen of Lag" will forever RIP.

The worst thing lag has dome to me.... hmm... well, this one time, it made me lag out.

The sad thing is.. it's true.

doing d'allesio seaboard with my monk and the lag was horrible. my hexes went off after the mob died or just before it died. i wasn't even helping at all. first time i ever had lag and it was terrible. now i get some lag but minor.

was 2manning Dunes of Despair for 4 random people who were paying 5k each... lag was an issue the first time as I got my healing breeze concussion shotted and it was virtually impossible for me to tell and I died. The second time, I just beat the cutscene and both me and my bro err7ed on the archers on the hill after being paid 1k from each person.

really, really, really sucked.

Maybe this has happened to other people..and I don't know if it was lag, but since it only happens in Droks when its really laggy, I think so.

Besides that, getting killed by Hydras with my 55 because I couldn't get Prot. Spirit up in time. >.<

So far just running, running past 5 or so giants then bloop in a corner surrounded by them =0.o= They didnt hurt much but I couldnt hurt them, had to wait for someone AFK to come back so they could zone. That's the worst I've had with this batch of lag.

Preveious lag has ruined runs or kicked me from UW tombs.

Alot of my guildies say international lags more. Some of them got booted 3 times yesterday running, but we had dual runners to deal with lag.

The lagging kept teleporting me back and forth when I was trying to reach a certain location. Another one, when doing a FoW spider run I was running to get to the location, but started teleporting back and forth heavily. Then, I ended up teleporting to a group of shadows, got body-blocked and died. (-.-)
