well, asian are famous for bots..>.>..it seems that they cannot farm the proper way...>.>..i have seen in many games..where there is farm, there is always bots..for asian..especially chinese..sigh..

Just went there 10 mins ago i saw atleast 11 or the [love] guild guys with same first name on the char.
In droks. for the lead atm is [gold] guild farmin trolls lol
What i dont understand is everyone blames chinese and euros for having bots but why cant anyone get there hands on one?uh? i know many hacker forums for games nvr seen a bot that works well or doesnt have keylogger.

yep, there's about 5 other guilds that are running them too. I won't mention the names, but I've counted a total of about 6-7 guilds that seem to be running them.

I say let them keep it, elona has incredibly low profit potential, maybe 200 gold per run at most, and anti-farm kicks in very quickly. Unless, of course, they're using as crop rotation from troll runs, in which case I say burn em all. The farmers really do seem to pick the worst places to farm. Me, I take the frost giants and tengu just past the trolls in the shiverpeaks, or just clear most of the map outside dunes of despair.

Luckily there is many spots in Tyria & Beyond that you have to be little bit more tactical while farming like FoW forest/cave.

They make them, anywhere on the internet today you have chines hackers trying to get in to computers. I sat one day and traced the IP's that pingd my computer and 84 % where traced to china. China has the highest % of hackers vs. users today so making a couple of bot's is no problem.
The bot's you download is full of keyloggers, yes they steal your account and resell it or trancefer your possesions to some1 else and delete your characters, and you can do nothing since you where trying to run a bot.
For the chines it's big bussines to run bot's and sell the gold on ebay, it brings real dollars in to the chines economy and gives ppl a job.

not really, yuo can make more then 200 gold per run after the antifarming code starts. otherwise its closer to 1k, and when I did it with my 55 ele, it took 3 minutes a run.

I don't have many other places to farm. Don't nerf it.

ANet... all you need is two or three people watching Elona for an hour to get at least a dozen names of bots.

Please, they're so obvious about it, it's frustrating that you're still not taking an incredibly aggressive stance against them... they're ruining our economy.

Go to Droks and from the portal face towards the merchant and watch the neverending stream of Mo/W run for the portal lol

Anet knows, and regularily runs sweeps. But it's a lot harder to prove it, and it must be proven for the accounts to be banned. Also, most of the devs are involved in Factions with the release less than a week away.

I have not been to Elonas lately Ill take a look I 55 outside of Augury, will look next time im over in the desert.

I'm pretty much fed up with comments like these . Do you comprehend why these pro-farmers are there???? Did you all ever stop and think
why gold is being sold on the net ???

he only reason these people are there is that it is their job . They gather gold for those of us purchasing that gold from the sites . If there wasn't a demand to purchase gw-gold those folks wouldn't be there in the first place ( or at droknar , augury etc. ) . If you read that article you can also see what they themselves earn doing this : a measly US$250 /month .

Next question is : why do people want to purchase gold in the first place ??? I have yet to see anyone addressing this very basic question . Let's see :

- A-net introduced über-items ( greens ) and FoW armor to have some kind of "top -of- the game " rewards for dedicated players .

However ( and here's the reason gold is being sold ) : there is no accomplishment involved at all in acquiring these items . The only way to get your hands on FoW-armor or on some rare green is to farm those areas pretty much constantly ( no skill involved : going in- and - out all the time using same builds all the time ) to get "lucky" . This prevents people who play the game normally from ever getting their hands on those items .People who do normal questing, helping guildies etc. will never get FoW-armor because they don't farm constantly to get the materials or gold .

And this regardless of how much they have played , skillpoints,xp etc.

They are being "penalized" for playing normally . Those items are available only to those who:

- do nothing but farm ( the distinction between these people and bot-farmers is very hard to make , only difference is they don't get paid for it and they don't offer it on the net )
-are so disgusted in the end they decide to purchase gold of the net .

Check out deldrimor war camp local chat ( or TOA local chat ) , these places are filled with pro-farmers , and again: because they don't sell it for real cash on the net we accept it .Try getting someone to do an actual quest in those places !

If I ever see someone trying to "block" exits at droknar or any other place I'll pretty much tell him/her what I think of that in local chat .Those farmers are doing their job in ensuring a supply of glod because there is a demand for it .No demand = no need for pro-farmers .

So leave them alone .


The only way this can be remedied is to totally rethink the meaning of "accomplishment " .Would A-net care to explain to me what's so great ( in terms of skill , great playing etc. ) about going into UW/FoW time and time again , with exact same builds , not for doing quests but to harvest and farm ???

They have stated repeatedly they don't condone people soloing any area ( UW was prime example ) but at the same time they ensure the only way to amass materials or gold for FoW armor is to do exactly that.

i find that funny :P
