Ok, i can see that there is many young boys (12-year old) here screaming bigger boobs for assasin. LOL.

I don't care about her boobs, but i care about her health. She really looks like anorectic. Something must be done.

I also want a warrior as fat as Stefan for me. Imagine him with HUGE Victo's Maul smashing those little monks in gvg.

The most perfect solution to these two problems (near each other) is to add x-axel skale to character creation. U have that adjust bar there to scale your characters heigh, but i wanna skale his/her wideness(sorry my english) also. Just like in NWN

As with many of the more mature posters, :P i agree there is a big difference between the female assassin pictured (which looks overall more pleasant and attractive) in the cover/mainsite/cinematic video than the female characters in game, which i suppose is the main emhapsis of this arugement.

Will Anet be able/want to change this before release is the real question or will it be seamed later if they ever change their mind?

hmm maybe if we continue to make a dozen more thread complainting about this and keep spamming support, maybe they will give in..........nah forget i mention that.

I think this thread is dragging the Guru community down. Some people here seem to be more concerned about looks than about playability.
I am slightly worried that a fast majority here will create elementalists and ritualists, and I'll be forced to use henchies, because a large number of players will stay in towns for belly dancing, instead of questing.
I'm also afraid that my Assassin will not be accepted in many groups because she has no Ritualist's boobs.

Even though i defend the assassin's look heavily, im not sure i will make a permanent sin. I will probably make one to run through the game, and then delete her. Nothing to do with looks, its just the Sin's play style isnt so appealing to me (maybe i just need to get used to her).

I think there will be a large enough majority of Sins out there to make them the new Wammo, which is my major fear, ie: players who dont know what the hell they are doing.

I'm also quite concerned that Anet has never said anything in these types of threads to defend their own character design.

To most PvErs( i speak for myself at least), playing for looks is just as important to enjoying the game with friends in the guild and exploring the content. There will be some dancing parties now and then in Faction but soon enough they will move on and from the looks of things Faction/Alliance we may not have much time to stand around to dance anymore.

Maybe Anet doesn't reply in this thread because it is so stupid? This thread started with a question about what we get when it is something else on the cover. Like the necromancer on the original GW cover, it's a NPC, it's a hench which you get later, I wanted that armor she got but no, I didn't get it. This assassin might be a NPC and/or Hench. Same thing with the Prophesies cinematic trailer, we DIDN'T get what we saw there, they were NPCs

People can play Counter Strike for hours, never worrying about boobs, but suddenly in this game it's an issue. Either GW adds a charm spell (To convince a monster to fight on your side), or make the girls look more realistic. Currently, it adds nothing to my gaming experience.

It's called character development. In RPG's, you have a character that you develop, unlike counter strike where you're just some hop-happy guman running around mowing people over.

One of the big draws about RPGs is character creation, and the ability to customize the look and feel of your avatar.

Quote: Some people here seem to be more concerned about looks than about playability. For many people (the majority of PvE'ers, I'm willing to bet) that's all they care about...hence why some players blow tons of time and money (in game or real) to get FoW armors and the like.

You didn't get a chance to customize Mario or Pacman, and they certaintly weren't virtual "representations" of yourself to thousands of other gamers :P

So yes, this is a valid concern for lots of people n_n

I think that either the in-game Assassin skin should be closer to the promotional art, or the promotional art should have been closer to the skin.

Either way, Anet should have known people would complain, since the disparity is so great.

if you so badly want boobs then either buy playboys or go here

http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s....php?t=3009983

I think that one of those afflicted is a woman and flashing one of her's too

now for something different. I don't see why every woman in this game have to look like a dream girl? Have you ever thought that realistic girls might have in their genes that they look anorectic? Much like some are big and some are small. Now take a look at the warrior female, does she look like she can carry around a little bigger weapon in one hand? no, she doesn't even look like she got any muscle, not even a six-pack. I've seen veeeeeery few complaints about that. So when there finaly is is a girl which show some muscle => COMPLAINTS, BOOO, CRAP, NOO, MORE CURVES.

Quote: One of the big draws about RPGs is character creation, and the ability to customize the look and feel of your avatar. yes i agree with that, but in this game you only get to play with a few attributes, hair, hair color, face, skin tone and length, and later also armor. Like I said before, this thread has now become something else than it was from the beginning. Let's wait and see what happens, if it is an npc. THEN you can say what you want

as some1 earlier in this trhead mentions something like: the looks doesnt matter ingame.

but they DO matter.. for exapmple... why would people buy 15k or even fow armor if they dont give a shit? and why would people spend 30k on balck dye for a bit black... why would there be alot female elemantalist/// couse people care bout looks!!

and a option for chaning sizes.. like musclar. skinny. fat etc... would be nice! i would like a more fatter ele or necro or more skinny monk!

I agree that the assasin doesnt look like the assasin on the box or in some of the screenshots. and they do look waaaayyy to skinny IMO.

I think that they should make the assasin look like the assasin on the box at least. When they first started advertising i thought the assasin girl looked great, but then when i saw her in game i thought she looked terrible

But, at the same time, its good for the game to have different types of bodys, for example the ritualist is more curvy and the assasin is skinny, it adds a little variety. It would be boring if every single character had the same body type.

1st : Bigger titties

2nd : Better grafics, make the skin more realistic

3rd : Take off the armor on an Assassin...-----speechless-----

What's the point in arguing about this? Some of you think the assassin should stay looking unhealthy and unatractive because YOU don't care about the look of characters? Most of us do, and many spend alot of money in-game to make there characters look better. I know I get p***ed when other people say stuff like this, but if you want to play an ugly character go play WoW or something, the main sell of this game is how great everything looks.

I might play male assasin if he didnt look so... homosexual.
Im sorry, but male characters in GW are full of s**t, except maybe ranger. Thats why I play female characters. If I have to look cheesy, then at least it will be female cheesy. And if the female (assasin) got flat chest and no waist... bah screw assasins altogether...
