Divinity coast question

When doing the bonus for the Divinity Coast mission last night I noticed that the eye would periodically send out a pulse that would knock enemies down. I hadn't noticed this before when I did the main mission a couple of weeks ago. Is this something new?

No, it's always done that. I generally spend too much time swearing at the bloody thing for blocking my view to notice though

I also noticed that "pulse" just a few days ago. I thought that this was some megacool air ele spell, because it looked like some kind of orb exploding, so I immediately switched my Water ele over to air only to find it actually isn't a spell... so I have to be stuck with the 1 pixel lightning that comes out of nowhere for my spells...

When you pick up the eye, you’ll get a nice speech from Hablion (the NPC) telling you the eye is judging ppl and those not worthy will be squashed or something alike. It’s very usefull when you’re hunting. After obtaining the eye, some villager with 10k HP will follow you: use him as a tank and the eye as Henchie while fighting Ettins / Drakes.... And to my knowledge, the eye always had that spell.
