If you mean unlearn/unbuy them, then no.

If you mean change your build/skills in skill bar, then yes.

You get points every 280? exp? So if you trained a skill to say 8, and it took 5 skill points. It will cost you 1 skill point to go back to 7. Does this make sense? I think im confusing myself, but its along these lines.

I'm not sure I know what you mean by reset, but if you mean change them around...then yes. As you aquire skills, they stay in your skill list. You can only aquire skills for your professions. While in outposts, you can drag and drop skills to and from your skill bar and skill list. While outside of an outpost, however, you are stuck with the eight skills you have chosen. This system is similar to playing with cards. Your skill list is all the cards you have to choose from, and your skill bar is your deck. You can change them around whichever way you like.

Your obviously confusin yourself, why would you spend skillpoints on makin a skill weaker? :P By reset, I mean like gettin rid of your talents in WOW and getting the points back so you can change your build. Wiping all the skills you have, and gettin your skill points back.

Ah, if it's attributes you are talking about, you get Refund Points to allow you to take away from some attributes and add to others. Currently you can gain up to 24 Refund Points, more than plenty. So say if you had an 8 in Air Magic and wanted to be 8 in Water Magic. You would use 8 Refund Points (of your 24 at the time if filled up) and be an 8 inin Water Magic and now have 16 Refund Points. You can gain more Refund Points from getting EXP.

you change those in any town or oupost by drag and drop

and ONLY in a town or outpost not a mission or explorable area

refund points keep accumulating to 25 points indefinitely past level 20

and dont stop because of reaching 20

after you reach level 20, refund points still cost 250xp each. you just need to kill enough lvl 15+ targets to reach that. you can have a max of 24 refund points at a given time, as of the march bwe.

it is possible to eventally wind up with every skill of every profession in the game if you switch secondary professions enough

refund points are for attributes

skill points accmulate and you can purchase additional skills with them

This means once you have acquired the skill, you can not get rid of it.

You still get experience after you reach the maximum lvl of 20. Everytime you would've leveled after that you get a skill point. Also, I think completing side-quests still gives you a skill point.

Strycker I know what you're confused about. Let me get a few things down. Skills don't take skill points. You just learn them(Paying for them, I believe). They don't go away. You can learn as many skills as you'd like. You choose 8 to use in missions and battles, which can only be changed in town. The strength on those skills depend on your attributes. Now, Attributes can be refunded, as others have stated. Did this help?

if they dont take skill points to get and you are stuck with them permanently

why are they in the game at all?

yes you need a skill point for a skill

edit

a signet of capture for acquiring a skill from a boss costs a skill point and gold

when you capture the skill the soc is replaced with the skill

1 skill 1 skill point

That helped ALOT, until Lov said different. :P

For the most part, you get skill points from missions (Which there are a ton of) and if you decide you want somethin later in the game, its not too hard to run a quest and grab it. Right?
