Don't Post Your Email in Forums

I have been seeing more and more posts about scammers and hacked accounts and what not and people are always mystified by how these people get into their accounts. Yes sometimes its the dumb download, but if I wanted to I would just do a search on the word "email" or "e-mail" in the different forums and then take the email addresses I find and try to brute force the account in guild wars. It is fairly likely that the emails listed in these posts are the same used to register with Guild Wars and I don't think that GW has a lockout or timeout set to stop a brute force attack. (correct me if I'm wrong). My advice is that if you really need to post an email address in any of these forums make sure it isn't the one you use to get into the game with.

Actually I would think that you wouldn't use the same email for something like a game account and forum registration. Nothing to do with which forum,but for any.

I would adivise if you do use the same email to consider using a different one, not only is it safer but pretty much takes care of the problem itself.
