No beta, special item, or early play for me?

I just went to EB games and preordered guildwars. I asked them where my Beta key was and they said they ran out!!! So now i dont get anything for pre-ordering. Is there any way i can get my special item, beta key, and get to play befroe it comes out!?

You will still get your special item, but unless thet are getting more pre-order packages in before the Beta/release, you won't get to play early. But if there is somewhere else in town that you can goto they might have the pre-order package.

Did you get the pre-order box when you bought pre-order? If yes there should be a beta key inside the box. If not then you may want to just cancel the pre-order and get it from someplace else (don't know if this is possible). For comparison, there is a Microcenter store near my place which has sold the GW pre-order boxes for 99 cent since december, and the last time I checked they still had a lot of these on display.

All i got was a receipt that i have to show him on April 28th to get my game.. How do you run out? I cant go anywhere because my parents just left and everything is too far away. Im p-eed off now

order it offline.. i.e. bestbuy, gamestop, compusa, circuit city...
if you order it from eb online they have like free 2day shipping, but dont forget to enter the code for it!!!! or else you just get regular shipping

but i believe, since you didnt get anything yet you can still cancle, usually once you get the preorder package they wont let you cancle, since you didnt get that they might let you... but this would require you getting back to the store which might be a problem with your parents gone

So long as you don't have the Box you should be able to get your pre-order deposit back.

I got my pre-order today from GameStop and i did get the pre-order package and they said i can pick the game up on the 27th. Might want to try there if you have a gamestop by your house.

I just phoned best buy and they said they have no pre order info. I phoned a diffrent one and they said that you have to go to guildwars.com to get it. Theese people know nothing. What do i do now?

Sounds like nobody has the slightest clue as to what's going on up there. Not really sure where you'd go now to get the Pre-Order Package if there's no Gamestop nearby, Best Buy has no idea what's going on, and EBGames is ripping you off like this. Anybody have an idea?

We can pick it up from Game Stop on the 27th? If so, that's great because that's the day before I have to go on a trip.

Umm.. If Best Buy is blowing you off they could get into trouble with Arena.net for refusing to sell their product. Go to the Guildwars site and log a trouble with them. They might be able to do something or have a recomendation. But remeber that their site runs in circles so keep on looking.

The problem is the people at Best Buy are clueless.... Even the 2 I went to here in the US in Nebraska .. they are so clueless its funny. I wouldnt be surprised if the Best Buy in Canada 'HAS' the pre-order kits, but they also have some sort of POS 'point of sale' information that tells then not to release it until they 28th. Maybe they think the pre-order kits are what they are not supposed to release. Best Buy people are so uninformed.... And clueless. Sad .. so sad. Whichever of you Pm's me first for the friend pass will get it. Keep in mind that this friend pass will ONLY work for the next BWE which is April 15- 17. It will not allow you to access the game early on the 27th -- For that you need an actual Pre-order key .. that you get with a pre-order purchase..... so .. if your going to find a pre-order kits somewhere. I'd go for that first.

I had heard that in order to play in the final two BWE's you had to have the pre-order key, and that the guess passes were no longer any good for admittance to the events. Not sure about this...maybe others know better? It may save some confusion & frustration to determine this before handing out un-used guess passes that may not work anyway.
