Guild Wars, Freezing Whole Pc

i have a p4 ht 3.4ghz 640mb(pc3200) ram, 80gb HD, onborad video card( i think thats the problem). my mother board only supports apg and pci. i was hoping that my other post would help with my motherboard (i want pci-e), from these specs, wat could my prob be? the problem is that once the game starts, 1 min in the game , it freezes my whole pc.

whats the spec of the on-board?, i'm pretty sure there was/is a problem with some intel graphic chips. The freezing most posibly be due to a driver conflict.

Though don't quote me on this afterall i am an AMD guy, some of the intel chaps like Old Dood may be able to shed some light on this........

My bet is that its the onboard graphics. It just dont cut the mustard. Since you cant go pci-e, then get a decent agp card and you should be okay. Otherwise, ya check to see if your overheating. Check all your fans. Update your drivers.

the tempatures fine, no overheating, the onboard was a 32mb set to a 128mb.

what power supply?
what temps. i know you said they are fine but id like to know anyway

a 300Watt PSU
i dont know the temps, i think their fine tho, its quite cool in my case wen i put my hand in

You cant judge temps by "putting your hand in".

Get a tool to scan the tempature gages.
A stressed P4 can go up to 75 centigrate, and you won't notice that by 'putting your hand in'.

theres your problem right there

300 watt may have been okay 10 years ago. Get on thats 400 or greater.
