more updates, newer, since you yourself said that this current version of vbulletin has not been updated since before curse bought guru, I will assssume that curse has kept guru2 updated. Its like folks still working on windowsXP, still works just fine but since XP there has been vista, 7, 8, 10 ...so XP keeps getting farther away from the current windows, even though it works and can no longer be updated.
good enough for you kattar?

So there's that.
Thanks for keeping this forum going for as long as you all did. I've been alternately active and inactive in GW but I loved that this place was always here. Nowhere else -- except maybe for our guild's facebook page -- could I come and be reminded that it's okay to still love this game. And that I can still learn something about it.

man how sad...the end of an era..
this game was a huge part of my life there for a while. i remember being 16-17 and putting countless hours into this game lol, it was worth it tho. i made a lot of friends, some i still talk to now, 10 years later.
this game was so amazing back when it active and fresh, bah i miss those days.
i recently decided to try it out again after all these years, but I forgot all my original acc. info and have long since threw the cd's/boxes away between all the moving ive done over the years. starting fresh is flooding my brain with nostalgia. i bought the trilogy and will most likely buy EoTN when I finish the other 3 campaigns simply for nostalgia reasons.
have no interest in trying out gw2. i will play thru the campaigns one more time, maybe try to finish the HoM - something I didn't do and regret. after that's over, i will quietly rest my account for another decade or so and perhaps revisit them again in my late 30s.
i spent a lot of time on this site and it's sad to see it go. thanks for all you did gwguru

If anyone thinks GWG should be entirely placed in a sub-forum of another game which the only thing they resemble is their product name other then their actual content, its complete bullshittery.
Why not place it in Aion Forums instead, they got wings n shit like in GW2, smh.
GWG deserves to be, with its own original content an original website other then being pushed away in a subforum of a diffrent game.
Its like they have not a glimpse of dignity for this website or its community.
Not even to speak about the timing they announced it, three weeks pre shut down, without a thought of their side to give tools or an initiative too preserve our history, data, and photo's.
Shame shame shame.
Long live www.guildwarslegacy.com

I can't understand why it isn't going to be simply archived
It would be the savior of all the knowledge and information from over a decade and would hardly be a tap on server resources.Forgive me but what exactly is the reasons for the closure? I may have missed it but can't find one |
