Hey all,
I'm not sure if this is the place to post this, but I wanted to give everyone a warning cause one of my friends who is 100% innocent when it comes to trading and selling items had her silver trim guild stolen today by Jenna Madtrash. I wish I was online or knew she was trying to sell a guild because I would have stopped this before it happened. But since I wasn't, I'm doing my part now.
The tag is [pie] in Japanese squiggly looking letters. It was stolen earlier today.
I post this for 2 reasons.
1: Don't sell your guilds to Jenna Madtrash without a mod or risk theft.
2: If you see this guild for sale, know that it is stolen and that the owner paid 0 for it. A stolen silver trim should be worth far less than a regular silver trim.
Mods: If you remove Jenna Madtrash's name, PLEASE leave that the tag was [pie] in Japanese squiggly letters. The biggest point of this post is inform that this is a stolen guild incase it hits the market. Buyers should have the right to know if the guild that they are offering on is legitmate or stolen.
@ Jenna - You should return the guild. If you do, I will edit this OP and tell everyone you gave the guild back.

As it seems to me, this kind of behavior needs to be documented with exact nicknames, or perhaps even a special thread, which people will check in order to avoid dealing with untrustworthy players.
It's a pity your friend has found herself in such situation, my advice to her would be creating Support ticket about it.

I know it's out there but I kinda resent the developers for this crap. Firstly, cape trims were a crap idea and badly implemented: shiny stuff = market demand and consequently, supply will follow suit. It's the natural order of things. Plus, it facilitates easy attainment for those who had nothing to do with the trim to take the credit it for it.
Secondly, they made no legitimate means of trading guilds after all these years. They couldn't have implemented a "Scroll of Ownership - double click to become the owner of [insert guild name + tag]"?
Don't tell me they couldn't foresee guild trading.

The way I have always handled it is I have added details of a guild and/or player that is scamming to my Mod thread. It was the best way I could warn people without getting too involved. Not to mention all of the players who would pretend to be me to try and scam others.
You can only do so many preventative measures. And you will hear about plenty of people getting scammed because you just happened to not be online and the player seemed trustworthy. Those people have no one to blame but themselves.

People like Madtrash are the ones that should be banned first... He scammed this guild and has used it to scam at least 55a so far this week... He should have been on the list of first banned.

Sorry for your friend , but he was the one who made a mistake by trusting this scammer.
I don't want to excuse what jenna or any scammer are doing but you guys need to be more careful ... would you trust someone telling you to pay first with no guarantee in real life for an expensive object? probably not, so why you doing it in the game ?
The only risk for them is being told : no i don't want to pay first or without a mod
,and don't expect that to change soon. They do not use any 3rd program or bug, you can't really prove you got scammed, the only thing they do is exploit YOU
Just be wiser and it won't happen again

Update- It appears Jenna sold it to some "dervish" that sits in Kamadan. If anybody knows who it is, could you please tell him I'm willing to buy it back? I'd appreciate it I don't have the patience to sit in Kama looking for it xD

Anyways, here's the update. That "friend" of mine is no longer my friend, since I'm too poor to buy her a polar bear. So while I'm of course mad at MAdtrash for stealing it, I'm not trying to get it back for her anymore.
