Connection Issues Today? 10-9-11

Not resolved here. Having to close the game out, and reload. I've never seen districts so empty so, I know it's affecting a lot of people.

Lucky you. I restarted and am still having this issue. Guess I'll try again later today/tonight.

Wow, not sure what the problem is, but I have been in limbo for over 10 minutes. Not disconnecting, just stuck in the middle of a battle. I can hear my heroes now, "What the heck, is he AFK again?". Weird, talked to someone in Virginia and he has no problems. Yet Maryland, is fubar as far as playing GW goes...

As someone posted earlier which I tried:
I was having the mega lag spikes others in the thread had here from one of the 64.xx server addresses, playing in International or American districts. I switched to European English which is 206.xx, and I don't have any issues. Hopefully this helps a few other people until this is fixed.

So, sounds like something going on in the eastern US is screwing up the game for anyone routing through there?

having the same issue, been going on for atleast 5 hours now, does anet even know about this?

i've been stuck on the loading screen for 20 mins now,both accounts are stuck on amercian servers

seems that i cant go anywhere in proph but charrs in NF and Factions login perfectly

No point in being in the euro servers. Most of them are on the american servers.

yeah i know i dont have the best connection but earlier i was getting 16000 ping etc and had to close gw down for a few hours. Its now running perfectly fine.
I was in the American Districts from the UK.

My ping is hanging around 5k inamerican dists, however during MQSC i had no trouble whataoever (eu german and english dists). So i suppose its the american dists....

I have never experienced anything this bad since buying the game 5 years ago. I don't know what's going on but I can't play at all with this lag.

(I'm also in the Eastern US.)

Took a couple tries to even connect to GW. I was trying to load TOA, but I get in my GH just fine using another character. Ping is stable. I'm almost afraid of trying to load TOA again. Or any other place really...

getting frozen on 100% loading screens, and when i get in it dcs after a few mins. all my chars are in US servers

I am able to load maps, but as soon as I do and try to move I get stuck. Attempting to change districts now to see if that has any effect, but so far that resulted in error 007. You win this round, Nulfastu.

I am having the same problems in Alberta Canada. Takes a long time for the loading screen to clear. And once finally inside the outpost, can't do much, and then get 007 after a few minutes.
