The battle for the Halls of Heroes...

Do we still really have to know who wins in there? We no longer have the gods blessing different regions, so what's the point in the system messaging us? Can't those who care about that just watch the latest video?

I like seeing funny guild names and tags without having to open Obs. Does it really bother you that much?

Only if the same guild wins every single time in an entire 3-5 hour period because no one else is trying.

Go win halls yourself sometime. It is fun to have your name broadcast.

Its pretty easy to ignore that.

Then for me, I could really careless who maxed what title or got gwamm.

But not much i can do on that one.

Suppose we both have to deal with it.

The title max messages have a use though. It lets us know that our access to UW and FoW has been extended. Winning Halls of Heroes doesn't do anything for any of the players outside the winning team.

Its still an important part of the game. The bigger question is why do you have animosity towards such a simple acknowledgment of this facet if the game.

Threads like this remind me that nothing is happening in Guild Wars.

It actually helps if you PvP.

At this stage of HA's "life"? No it doesn't. Beating the other 3-5 groups total in HA at any one point is truly irrelevant.

Agree . For most PvP'ers it just show how pathetic some people are holding dead hours every day.
However , for everyone , i don't believe seeing a message every 12mn at bet is that annoying ....

No we don't, but knowning anet it would take at least 6 months to remove it.

I'm with you on that one. I really don't care who has won in HA. HA is dead so why do I want to know has won in a useless tournament. For you those of you who love it so much, great. For the rest of us give an option to opt out, I'd gladly click. And yes, I do find it that intrusive.

I don't care about PvP and the: ".... won the hall of heroes". It would be nice if there was a option to not see it. The announcements in towns who won titles is better then the always HA message.

Lol, srsly, people care this much? REMEMBER PEOPLE: We have currently 2 developers (I think) working on the entirity of guild wars 1. If you REALLY want them to spend their time removing this, which would require changing codes, testing it, planning a date to update, implementing the update, fixing the bugs etc..... then GO OUTSIDE AND REMEMBER THERE IS A REAL WORLD. Personally I would rather they would spend their time on.... new content? doing the planned updates that they keep talking about? more frequent skill balancing... I dunno, but this pretty much falls at the bottom of the pile.

Suggesting this for the game is all well and good. But it's important to prioritise what you want from the game. I bet your excited about embark, 7 heroes, derv skill updates, Winds of change etc.... If your suggestion is more important in your opinion than these, then FINE suggest it. If you wouldnt want those changes postponed for your suggestion... then maybe refrain from having a whinge?

I don't care about who won HoH, and I don't care that a message about it appears every once in a while. It's white noise and easily ignored.

i agree with the OP. when it used to say that, "team x needs 2 more wins to earn favor" it made sense that it let us know. now? not so much. also, i get tired of seeing really vulgar guild names in chat with ZERO way to turn it off. axe it.
