/signed....I liked the incentive to actually DO the uw....now I have zero and without groups that do it NON SPEED CLEARING, hopes of getting it finished again ZERO.
dont understand why they could not just change the mausoleum so that if you tried to get in you are transported back to the outpost (like the bug that happened to peeps who didnt have eye).....would have been the best solution.
(not to mention over wintersday I did some of the wintersday quests and the ones I did not complete then were removed with OUT removing my waiting game quest)

Signed, and all the guys saying its a haloween get over it have no idea what they talking about.
Even tho they removed ta and hb, I still got the ta zaishen combat quest. That makes their argument of removing it flawed. |
The only reason I can see is if you completed the quest but didn't turn it in in time. Zaishen Quests are year round, not a festival event, even if they removed TA. Keeping it in wouldn't give you any extra time to complete the quest, really. If you didn't do the ZQuest before TA was removed, you'll never complete it so it's a useless quest sitting in your log. If you did do the ZQuest before it was removed but didn't turn it in, you still don't get any extra TA chances. You just get to turn the quest into a quest giver that's a part of the year-round game. Whereas if you complete the Waiting Game, you get 250 ToT bags that are exclusive to a certain festival in the game that is only available for a certain period of time in the game. Not to mention we'd have to have a random Halloween NPC sitting around.
So, completely different situation there.
Like someone else said earlier, you took a gamble. :/
FYI.. I have opened an official Incident ticket with Support as well as posted item on Gaile gray to get involve for assistance in at least determining whether this was an accident (something that can be fixed) or it was intention (and if so, why?). That way we can at least get an answer and see if any hope this is addressed. Thanks for everyone's support!
Last time the quest wasn't removed after Halloween because Dhuum wasn't implemented into the game yet at Halloween. That's why it is called the Waiting Game.
This time Dhuum was killable at Halloween, so I have come to believe the removal of the quest was intended, like happens with the other festival quests.
Wouldn't mind if the quest was restored though, it's just that I don't care one way or the other.

Yes... yes it was. Seeing as you got the quest from Mad King's Steward, makes a Halloween only quest. The NPC only shows during the Halloween festival, so again, thus it is a Halloween only quest.
The holiday is over. If you had the quest, should of done it during that entire time the event was going on, instead of holding it to the end and then being shocked that the event is over and now your quest is gone.
It was a Halloween only quest. Who cares what happened last year? That was last year. This is THIS year. You thought you could keep the quest, you couldn't. Oh well, move on. It is just a quest.

Even though the "Waiting Game" may have just been a victim of a sweeping change implementation, I have gotten reply from support that it was not a bug or mistake to remove all the Festival quest but Dev team intentional to make them limited to only seasonal time. So upon their recommendation, I have now submitted the request to keep this as a year-round quest into the Feedback portal on wiki as suggestion @ http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Feedb...le_year-round! ; please consider reviewing and commenting with support if you agreed & miss this UW quest. Thanks!
