For some strange reasons, all the Quests under the Festival Events tab in Log were recently removed as part of post-Halloween clean up build. Please revert and restore all the quest with their correct status flag (especially Waiting Game which can be completed in UW anytime during the year without special NPCs).
Thanks A-NET!

Taking away "Comandeering a Mortal Vessel" only would've stopped that just fine. Maybe this was a lazy solution, or maybe they didn't want Waiting Game lingering on for some reason as well.

Hey...
I like that idea (see my "suggestion" @ http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/t...t10457651.html ) for NPC just giving out the "Waiting Game" quest! Maybe can combo.. please go over and sign that as well. Thanks!

I think you are missing the point ajc, most of us had the quest from last year, we had no notice it would disappear. It is not strictly a halloween quest as it could be done at any time during the year.

I fail to see the problem here. We knew when Halloween was going to end...This is a Halloween quest...that gives Halloween rewards. Weather the reward accepting NPC is special or not, I don't see why we need this.
Mine was taken away but it's my own fault I didn't turn it in in time... |
While having it back would be nice, I believe it was removed because this year it was to be Halloween specific only. Which is why, at least why I think they increased the Trick or Treat bags reward from 100 to 250. Last year was 100, this year was 250, so I think they intended for it to end after Halloween. While notice may have been nice, they technically can say nothing and get away with it, which is what they did.
In short, be upset, but it was intended to be completed during Halloween, they did not have to announce that it would be unavailable. Sorry if you all disagree, but this is how I took it. I had 5 characters with it, and I am a little sad that I cannot complete it anymore, but I at least look at the other side of the coin

It's the way they removed the quests, and also in mid-day with no warning (could've waited at nighttime) that makes it pretty frustrating.

Ask for an apology or just live and learn, I guess.

I guess I am just repeating the point made many times already. It was a Halloween quest, all the other holiday related quests end when the festival is over why should this one be any different. If you want to say "oh well last year it didn't" that is simply because last year it was part of something larger, a build up to a new UW boss (Dhuum). This year was simply a re-enactment.
I myself had it on 6 characters but it was a risk I took as farming every little bit helps was easier to get done, I am sure the majority of people who had it removed were doing the same thing trying to maximize their take during the event and then cashing in on the waiting game after the event.
You gambled, the house won, its gone; deal with it and stop whining.
