I found the mission very fun.
The aftermath not so much... Double clicking an item to see what it looks like shouldn't automatically give it to you, you should have to confirm so you don't get the offhand (jug) instead of something useful

that was pretty intense....had a pug with me as sos, a ua with mm hero, ele and sin (had a warrior but they got dc'd).....the last few groups did not seem interested in going up the first set of stairs even after we died.....so after the first jade wave it was just attrition them away.
And got a nice new staff for my communing rit.

The Battle for Lion's Arch explorable area. European server. 2,000ms ping. Good luck.

The battle was Epic. And so was the amount of loot lying on the ground at the end. It looked like Battle of Turai farming, before loot scaling. Only quadrupled. I picked up maybe 1/4 of it before the timer ran out. Only 2 or 3 appeared in the "accept loot" window when I rezoned, out of the dozens I left behind.
Much like the The Battle of Turai's Procession... I am rather tempted to keep a character or two that never accepts the quest reward (abandon quest), just so I can farm it.
Edit: Hmm. Seems you can't do the quest if someone in your party already did it? I just tried and Bartholos doesn't appear.
Edit2: Oops, no. I just hadn't re-taken the quest after abandoning it, DOH!
You CAN do it with others who have already done it and accepted the reward.
It was really really great, I loved it.
Very challenging, but I did it without a MM with the following setup:
Dervish-Tank (Myself)
Splinter-Barrage Ranger
SoS-Ritu
Nuker Ele 2x
UA Monk
With careful positioning and using NPCs we did it without too many deaths, really nice and challenging, loved it

Dues Ex Machina. They are the invisible, evil "gods" that drop out of thin air to validate the plot of Prophecies. So, I'm sure Linsey and her brood decided they might as well blame the war that led to the events that formed EbonHawke on them.
