ANet's stance on syncing

I need a confirmation on this email that ArenaNet support team send out to its player.

While you are not doing anything to stop or prevent this obvious nuisance in the game, you let your support team tell the player that its okay to be nuisance?

If you, ArenaNet aren't or won't do anything about the sync problem, I kindly ask you to please remove the Gladiator title track and Random Arena.

For as many things as possible, this is how it should be. It is Anet's job to create a stable and fair competitive environment, not tell people they should do anything other than what lets them win the most. If it's not pointless player harrassment and it's not a bot/hack, it shouldn't be punishable IMO.

Removing glad rank and RA would be suicidal. Who wants to play CMs or AB when they don't GvG or HA?

Well if this isn't the most retarded idea i have ever seen on guru. Sure synchers are terrible players who can't win otherwise, sure they should get at least dishonour, but how does removing ra solve anything?

But I calmly ask for an answer from ArenaNet. I have stop asking them and patiently wait for them to do something about it for a long time, I was given an answer sometime ago, making me think they are looking into this problem. That email proof they aren't.

ArenaNet have been shoving this problem away, throwing it like a beach ball from one department to another, one person says this another person says that, and the live team says something else.

There is a need for a proper answer.

If they don't want to take responsible for it, so why have it there? I Motion for its removal.

So you want something removed, that people still have fun with, just because you're butthurt about syncers? That's pretty dumb.

I call shenanigans on the OP. The Support Team always signs their replies with signatures. If you can't be bothered to copy and paste who it was that sent you this, how can we be bothered to believe that the reply you say you got from them is valid? If it is valid, then no harm no foul, but as the post looks now, it seems to me you are making this up. I hope you understand where I am coming from. Anyone could write something like that up. It also looks way too informal to me to be an actual Support Team reply.

How are you suppose to track syncing? How are you suppose to suspend people just for hitting a button at the same time? you can't. It isn't like there is a guaranteed chance that they will be on the same team, it is still pretty random. Just get over it.

Sorry nothing can be done. They already fixed the problem by pooling all the districts in when they make teams, but if there not enough people to randomize a good enough team, you get syncer. The only option would be to incease the timer so hopefully you'll get more people in the que, but does everyone want to have a 2 min timer just to enter ra really?

I remember more times that people who lose call me and my team syncers. THIS IS NOT TRUE!. Then that I see an team of syncers. And this is the problem. People think there are alot of syncers and QQ about it. I'm almost everyday in RA (Whenever I play GW). And the problem is not as big as you think it is. And what is the problem? It's only an title, and it's only an random arena to just fight till you are bored.. Just play

It's worse then that.
He is going off of a post by someone else {short time guru member no less} but we all know if you see it on the internet it must be true.

Reguardless if that post is even truthful the OP can remove himself from doing RA rather than bitching to remove it from everyone else, other people may still enjoy it and if it bothers you that much DON'T PLAY THERE.

Kill codex, bring back TA, and there should be nothing left to complain about. Problem solved.
Or better yet, focus on what actually harmed low-end PVP playability the most: the faction farm bots that run in circles wanding in comp mishes. They banned 3700 people and a week later I pop into JQ to see the most infamous of all JQ bots TYS (rhymes with Dom Dum Doop) still running in circles during matches.

But that isnt even the problem. Tom has sometimes been the only help I get on green. Sorry but bots> real players. Until people learn how to play such a low end PvP arena I will continue to support Mrc Chii and Tom.

Ok - i read that post and as far as i can tell anet answered the question honestly.
Remembering that anet has enough crap on its plate atm - Wik bugs etc it dont surprise me its on the future agenda.
If anet changes it and tries to remove all syncing and screws up coding then most of the pvpers will cry in outrage - while they do that all the pve`rs cry in outrage coz Wik is glitched or not being updated.
And as most players kno about syncing anet doesnt have to hide how its done - im even sure its on wiki lol.

Why remove RA?

1.Bring back TA, with glad title
2.Keep RA, but remove the glad title from it

Being the only place with glad title, TA should not have any population problem, and RA would be clear of botters (whose only reason to exist is farming glad points) and syncers (whose only reason to exist is farming glad points).

Then, someone may say that without glad RA would be dead. Maybe. Maybe not. Don't forget that, if i'm not mistaken, the main reason that keep a lot of people (PvErs) out of PvP is the so-called "PvPers attitude", which means that a lot of PvErs try one or two times to start PvP, jumping in RA, and getting immediately insulted, called noobs and what not, you know. PvErs are used to the lower-paced PvE gamestyle, they are used to always win without too many problems, so it's comprehensible that they get shocked by such a first experience. The result is that they stop trying, convincing themselves that "PvP is not for me", "PvP is full of assholes", "i'm not going to give PvP a chance any more", etc.

How many of you like to play PvP for fun, without worrying about winning, or about a title? How many of you would like to have a nice, quick PvP format to play in when you have only half an hour to spend? I like to think that there are a lot of people who would like an RA without a title, without people always looking at your build to see if it's a meta one, screaming at you, telling you to gtfo noob, asking to resign, etc. Maybe i'm too naive, maybe i'm a dreamer...

...but you know, dreaming is free
