But you do get the adulation the Kudos or whatever for saving the world.
But yopu only get it once each time you get to the final mission end screen.

Go to Factions and Beat Shiro then bask in the adulation as the entire country from peasant to Emperor bows to you and cries out your name as the saviour of them all.

Jump to any other place in the game and its "sry who did you say you were"
because it hasn't happened yet.

Keeping with the Factions line you can bring peace to the Luxons and Kurzics but then get ignored by one side because your on the side of their enemy.

If however you can work out a way for 2 players to be in the same city one on his first days play and another who has just finished the game and have the ai treat them differently I am all for it.

We have cash weapons armour titles and that's about it, only other way is to make the game only playable once with each character.
Once you reach the end its all been done so you start again from scratch losing everything or you buy some other game.

You know, Gwen not recognizing me is okay, but when my male warrior is alone with her in HoM and does /dance when Lt. appears, he should at lest say anything!

I mean, very single time he goes to see her, there is naked male doing "wooing moves", talking to her and he just ignores that! I mean, he should turn hostile and start fistfight!

I do not know what to thing - either he has rock solid self-confidence and simply does not care or he is too timid to call her/me out on that.

For people to appreciate you, you can max out the EOTN titles. All townseople will constantly tell you how awesome you are.

Kormir's Great Legacy

I've always considered my characters just "one in the army" that saved the world. I assume all the armies are significantly larger, but impossible to portray using the game engine.

So, I consider my characters' claimto glory mostly an "I was there" type. "I was there." "I was among the thousands that stormed the gates of Raisu palace held by a massive horde of Shiro'ken to save Emperor Kisu." "I was among the sunspear army that stormed Abaddon's heart. I fought the monolith horde to let Kormir take Abaddon down." "I was there when the Great destroyer went down, and when it did, two of the arrows sticking from a gap in his armor were mine!" "I was there when King Adelbern stopped the Titan invasion, and I still have a molten claw off one as a souvenir." That kind of sentiment.

It allows enough space for every player to have a claim to some glory.

It's a game, i like playing games, i don't feel unappreciated because everything is composed of pixels which i can delete. Also, mario needs laid by princess peach before any other pixel toon ever gets any action.

Isn't there like a ton of people cheering for you at the end of each campaign?

You saved the world. Gwen now HAS to sleep with you. She has no choice, you saved the world. In fact, no woman has a choice, they MUST sleep with you because you saved the world. Her body is yours. There is a Zelda joke in there somewhere.,

Actually aside from factions (where we killed a man who was manipulated into his actions), we screwed up the world more than save it. We gave the most powerful artifact known to the Lich Lord, our enemy. We failed to protect our home, stole the scepter and gave it to the dude who wanted to destroy the world, all while fighting to do so.

In nightfall we supported the cow who began the whole mess and turned her into a god (I do hate Kormir, she was bloody useless and rewarded for doing nothing but screw up) and then unleashed Palawa to conquer Elona, so good job us.

We are thanked in every campaign, through words and the green item. What more did you want? Your own personal GW harem?

Side Note: I found all the players who wanted to end up with Gwen hilarious before Thackery wanted to have a picnic at his Ebonhawke garden. Now that they are all getting upset over it is ridiculously funny.

Hahaha the only thing that annoyed me was that "insert player name" killed Abbadon, while Kormir didn't do jack except follow you around... yet she became a freakin goddess!

If this was a singleplayer game like, say, KotOR, you wouldn't blink twice at someone talking about the story/background. But because GW is considered an MMO, it's not allowed? What gives?

While what you say has some truth to it, you have to understand one simple concept... This is Guild Wars, not Knights of the Old Republic.

Oh please, people. I know people behind keyboards love to start fights and bad mouth each other, but its joking about the story line in a game.

It is amusing to point out that after you've just slain titans and gods, you get to another campaign where they're telling you to deliver a letter to their uncle a few towns over. Its below my pay grade!

If you HONESTLY think he was really sexually frustrated about not getting Gwen, as some of you seem to think, you guys are the ones that probably need a break. <_<

Yes, but pretty much only then. After that, it's like they completely forget everything you did when you leave that area.

Not that it's a big deal or anything.

Regardless of the rights or wrongs of what our characters did, or the ultimate consequences - our characters are clearly BAD-ASSES, and those NPC's ought to show a little respect! We should CRUSH those cheeky Kurz/Lux merchant punks like bugs, and just TAKE all their stuff!

Nah, we're not heroes, we're only meatshields who take orders and "UH ME SMASH!!"!
And, what's more, we only did a mess, as someone already said...just figure, my Tyria still has half of the titans roaming around for my lazyness! That's what I love in GW, no silly happy endings!
