E/Me Raptors: 39 kills including boss...

Done a load more runs... and I have had my Mantra removed about two times by the Raptor patrol. So it does indeed happen, just not very often. Both times I was able to put the Mantra up again when needed, and carry on as usual.

Another thing to look out for is Angoradons near the entrance. Don't bother with the patrol if you see those extra red dots near the entrance...

If you only get 5-6 drops and a good spawn it can be done at just under 1min.

To be honest though, this only gets an extra ~5 enemies, and I don't think it is worth the extra time it takes.

When I do it with E/Me, it doesn't take extra time - my timer is when Magnetic Aura is about to run out... same as a normal run. But I don't try to do it every time - only when the cave spawns look good. It's just a nice little bonus every few runs.

Why the extra heroes in that screenshot?

I was using song of concentration so that I can get that extra group every run.

The question is: does it add 15%-18% more time?
If yes, it's not worth it. If not, then it IS worth it.

Assuming 60sec runs, it would have to be adding at least 9 seconds to your run time to make it NOT worth doing.

At least with the warrior type run, I think you a really pushing your luck with Mark of Pain running out. I'd be a little a leery to try this as the normal run. Otherwise the ele should be fine, I'll try it out.

I've refined my method a bit, and now I can always get the patrol (unless its a really bad spawn), and don't need song of concentration. If I get a really good spawn though, then I waste time waiting for the patrol to come. I think good spawn, just do the 34 raptors in around 45secs, with a normal spawn do 40 in 1minute, on a really bad spawn do the 34 in a minute.

Though since Wild Strike is unblockable i expect it to hit and remove Wary Stance but the thing is W/N build kills everything as soon as they mob up so you don't have to worry about having lead attacks hitting you and then an off-hand attack remove your stance

Definitely something to watch out for though. I usually notice if my Mantra goes down, and it hasn't been happening so far. It is recharged by the time I stop and let the raptors wail on me, so even if it's removed, I have a chance to put it back up, and a third chance after Rekoff dies.

By the way, Rekoff has Wild Strike too... but almost never seems to use it. Rekoff is just one and is the first thing targeted by sliver plus Rekoff uses Twisting Jaws first so no real chance to use it, now if you add another 3-4 guys that may live up to the end it's a hole new story... I'm not saying you will get hit every time time but every now and then i expect your Mantra to go down which may lead to death

Also, see my later post - I have been hit a couple of times by Wild Strike from the patrol - but it's rare. And the times it's happened, I simply recast Mantra and carried on. I haven't had it taken down a second time in a single run, so far.

the warriors that suck are the only ones that take leechers, becouse the experienced players know that leechers don't increase the droprate... ;-)

Well I finally finished my warrior so it can do raptorfarming an hour ago and am getting consistent 0 minute runs (mostly without the extra raptor group). I do have experience from hundreds and hundreds of e/me runs though. But W/N is a nice change and definitely faster than e/me (e/me is pretty fast as well). I will have to see if I notice a difference in drops between w/n and e/me now. If not, I'm switching to w/n .

W/N is the way to go as someone very experienced doing it with other professions. Haven't yet tried N/W but that might be next on the slate as I need asuran on my necro.

I've been away from this game for like 6 months, and i'm probably going to get back into it for shits and gigs, is this farm still profitable for anything other than Asura points?

I'm not sure what you would compare it to, but on a holiday weekend you can get about 800-1000g worth of straight drops and about about 5 holiday items. So, 2k or so per minute and a half on average (because let's be serious, even the most awesome warrior farmer isn't going to get 60 runs an hour because you still have to merch and pick the stuff up). Of course your income would vary a lot on whether you are selling your gold weps unidentified (most profitable). Personally I just ident and merch everything and only keep the very best mods but a lot of people will pay 700g for an unidentified gold weapon. Otherwise at this point, no skin in the raptor cave, even an elemental sword has any value anymore other than merch material or wisdom title tracks. And elite sin tomes are pretty tough to sell for much more than 2k.

Any class can do Raptor farm, the builds aren't secrets. This one that I used here is more of a crapshoot on how long it takes. If you get lucky on Air of Superiority you are done in a minute, if not it will take, as you see in the screenshot, a tad longer. If I used a Para hero it could probably speed it up but I wasn't in the mood. And yes, I did kill everything in the den.
