Is it safe?

I got hacked a couple months and lucky I still had all my armor and weapons just everything else gone

I really want to return to Guild Wars since no other game has given the same enjoyment. Really I"m spoiled by it. Great graphics, runs smooth, fun pve and pvp. Groups and randoms. No fee. Everything I could need.

I've improved my password habits across all sites and accounts I own. Forming each from random mixes of PSN and gift card codes

Have they improved anything to safe guard our treasures?

Or am I just be overly paranoid after getting hacked for the first time

I say give it a go, theres the new feature of requiring a character name to login now, which has undoubtly decreased the amount of hacking recently.

I must agree, Guild Wars is a damn unique game, a game that no other MMORPG can fill it's place for me.

1: Get an decent antivirus (check often)
2: Change PW every 2 weeks(dont have to be like "moon" to"elephant", just a minor change.

naw just change your password as your routine. Master Account also and don't invest your life in this game.

i remember getting hack back when i was playing D2. promised my self to never get that attached to a game EVER again. so many duped SOJ lost =(
