If heroes are kinda on your side and you Kind of "own" them, then why do I still have to share my drops with them. I mean, seriously... (First time I used the Angry face on the forums...).

You share with them for the same reason that you share with human players... they are in your party.

If you follow the storyline, you will find they are hired help to be paid.

For a few short hours we did......and damn while you are scraping to making ends meet they are living the high life.

It was a cool unexpected bug after one update where everything that was killed dropped for you. Even the henchmen dropped their gold for you when they died.

Now that would be a great weekend event...all drops are yours weekend.

I missed that somehow, or don't remember it. (been playing since release)

it would be even nicer to be able to BUY/TRADE for those drops...with limitations of course.

they do work for you, you pay them in drops. you don't own them, you pay them for their services. just a misconception on ur part. it's ok ;-)

When I read that I thought Hmmm...sounds like Mt.v.'s "real world". then I thought of dave chapelle's version. I am now wiping earl grey from my monitor. that hadn't happened in quite awhile. I commend you.

They are really just hirelings like hench and use that as a payment method.

Koss: Hey, you know this sword is kinda beat up. It's only 10-14 dmg.
Koss: I could use a Superior Vigor rune too ya know.
Me: You mean you didn't get any sword drops during those last 2 missions? What about that Sunspear blacksmith you saved from the Kournans back there? Can't he craft you something?
Koss: Yeah, well I asked him. He wants 5k and 100 iron ingots.
Me: So? You earned 7k on that last FoW run.
Koss: ummm, well there was this club with dancing Eles in that last town and well..um.....uh

Me: Fine, get your own sword then.

And I love that you take the time to tell us about it as the tea drips down your screen ^^

I'd love for the drops to show up reserved for your hero/hench for a minute or so, then vanish. Nothing like Mhenlo laughing in your face cause he got a req 8 crystalline, then watching it disappear from the face of the earth.

^ Damn straight. I want them to pay me back in full for all the runes and weapons I took the time to hunt down.

LOL - Club Elona - Great video.

Heros actually take drops and gold. It is all part of how Loot Scaling (stealing) works. If you are allowed 8 members in a part, the most you will get is 1/8th of the drops. I have noted that heros on average get a bit more than thier 1/8.

Because you share drops with your party, regardless of who's in it. Besides, if you didn't have to share drops with heroes (and/or henchies), why the hell would you bother playing with humans?

Here's an idea: Why don't Anet change GW to show the drops that you COULD have had being reserved for the heroes. And at the end of the fight, the player can see their heroes waltzing in to pick it up that black dye and store it in a place where you can never get it.

But on a serious note, if heroes give you their drops, then could you imagine farming? It would also mean the end of any human interaction.
