Iron Farming

Allright so lately ive been scouring the forums for an efficient method of farming iron and ive seen that kilroys and salvaging the drops as well as doing vaettirs and salvaging as well.
Now im not asking for builds but i do want to know if theres any other place that i can farm effectively for iron.
Also are there any places that can drop gold swords? im not thinking rarity, just something i can put highly salvageble mods and hope for the best.

I get quite a few raptor farming. They salvage into iron or steel.

Edit:You also get quite a few of the 'measure for measure' inscriptions farming there too.

ive tried raptors but all i get are great conches and bows occasionally some dags but not as common as the weps above^

Try mini cho mission as N/Mo 55 and salvage all the metal stuff. Usually get about 1 stack of iron per run aswell as golds to ID and some steel ingots

argh i dont have a necro >.< would a mo/n 55 work?

Try doing the dwarven boxing then salvaging. If you have useless drops then sell them, use this money for salvage kits or for your pocket. Make sure to sell profitable runes and dyes for extra money just like in any other farm.

You can also use this for the treasure hunter title as there is always at least 1 locked chest.

Spirit Spam farmer can farm Cho's estate in HM as well.

I always seem to have a vague memory of somewhere i used to iron farm and get lots of it - alas when i stopped for a few months i forgot where and thats annoyin me to hell.
Few places ive found in my travels to rediscover what i forgot are -
Anywhere with melee - kournans have pendants which also salv into iron , vaettires for some reason can give iron an wood but ive had higher iron salv than wood which isnt too bad, raptors i find are avg - i always seem to get a mix of iron/dust/wood/bone and nothin really that constant to make it that gd.
cho`s estate/mission can be gd also the trinket boxes salv into iron but not a huge amount but considering if farming there already any boxes are of use.

I get quite a bit of iron by salvaging drops when doing feather farming in Nahpui Quarter. Koi Scepters drop regularly and they turn into iron as do a few of the other drops there.

I actually just do Vaettirs (sorry for spelling, to tired to look it up) with an A/Me. It's fast and I can just continually do it over and over, and I also get other goodies. Buy some normal salvage kits and just salvage everything pretty much.

the only way i get my iron is from raptors, i find that only the hammers and swords are worth adding the mod for the salvage

If you do the Boxing in Gunners Hold, the the second quest not the 1 on 1 boxing. Most of what the dwarves will drop salvages to Iron or Steel. It's also a great place for Treasure Hunter as there are chests that are not far apart. If you want to make it easier, you can use Pumpkin Pie down there to make yourself attack and move faster

Vaettirs in Jaga or Cathedral of Flames. Hard mode, and salvage all the whites. Lots of iron and dust.
