Has there been any news on the quest?

nope or else we would know by looking in the halloween quest thread. It will also be announced over GW just like the dragon festival.

So this quest has not really been completable by anyone yet, and yet you can't even if you do? I bet you have to wait till Halloween 2010 LOL.

Trust me, if any new info of this quest shows up, there will be a couple new threads popping up about it ;-)

maybe the quest is doable towards wintersday when grenth + dwayna appear?

I'm still kinda hoping something happens this friday the 13th...

Regina said when this quest first came out "Don't camp here over night waiting. It will be a few days not a few hours." She didn't say weeks or anything so hopefully its sometimes this week.

i am betting on a skills update some time today then teh quest will be active

don't say that. you have no idea how they'll announce it. they never said anything about it being like the dragon festival. no one knows. don't spread false information.

someone had an idea about a global meeter that counts the number of dead skeletons in uw and when its high enough it releases the quest.
he though it had something to do with that they had to see if there was speedclears to counter the update and since not many now not even looks at uw its gonna take years.

allthough this is weird since i cant recall any global killcount before?

It would have made sense because:
1) It would have been a few days
2) We'd be facing the big bad Dhuum on Friday 13th
...the list goes on.

noone knows what is going on. The only 2 things we do know are:

1. Anet seriously screwed this thing up in several ways

2. CR is yet again sorely lacking

No, the quest hasn't ended, and there hasn't been an update on it.

Typical of Anet. No resolution in sight and no word on it at all. /fail

Umm...... the quest is called "The Waiting Game." Read that name carefully. Did you do it? Ok now read it again, but this time switch on your brain before doing so. Yep, you're supposed to wait. Who knows how long, but it has been what, a week or something? Probably they're still working on it or something, so just be patient.

As for CR being lacking, Regina said specifically we'd have to wait at least a matter of days. As for Anet screwing things up in several ways... that just sounds like a "wahhhhhh muh UWSC doesn't work anymore!! wahhh!!"
