its completely possible to do it without nf because the 3 skills you need to keep up shadow form are from factions and eye of the north. Plus the main way to kill enemies is with sliver armour which is also factions. Just make sure you have the right equipment e.g 20% enchant staff with +20 energy over all. Should have 62 energy with that and right armour.

there aren't 3 skills that just come from factions and eotn to keep up sf, and you can't have sliver armor if you are going to have to run arcane echo sf.
