Monk Tome Farming (Non-Elite)

Hey, so I have a Monk (55) and Elementalist (Monk can do Factions/Prophecies, Elementalist can do EoTN) but I really need some regular monk tomes. Does anyone know of a good/quick place to farm that can drop monk tomes?

What do I kill in the Lair? And can I do it with a solo build or will I have to hero/hench it?

you kill the ONLY thing in the lair... aka the snowmen

Angry Snowman
Playful Snowman
Industrious Snowman
Impeccable Snowman
Blessed Snowman
Grumpy Snowman
Roguish Snowman
Rotund Snowman

I mean, do i just kill the first two groups that aggro, which are soloable, but none of the rest (which aren't soloable, unless there's an elementalist build which I'm unaware of)

Shadow Form or 55 Ranger with Prot Bond & Storm Chaser can solo these

You don't have either of those.

You could 600/smite UW with a hero. Clear the chamber and head down to wastes. Kill all the smites there.

Alternatively, set your ele up for E/A wastes, get 2 +1 cons, and go do UWSC.

I've thought about UW, but the 1k it costs to get in is really difficult to recoup in there, so I'm looking for a less...costly farm that I can do. I've been HM farming those mantids on SJ island, but I've only gotten 1 in two days of farming.

Id agree with snowmen - you may get 1 monk tome every few runs but from my own exp its the best place as ive farmed other places a few times daily and ive never had any drop.Snowmen is fast and a tome every few runs is worth it - even if you get a few diff tomes you may be able to trade with someone for monk.

farming snowmans you`re gonna get just one monk tome for few runs. it`s just waste of time.
maybe others had more luck .

As a perma sin with sliver i get roughly 3 per run, only from killing the large mobs in start, mid and end of the dungeon.

Farm anything to get some cash and buy your tomes in kamadan
