Transfer between 2 accounts

A simple question.

If I wished to transfer 500k to my Wife's account so she can pimp out her HoM, would this cause some code to flag us a gold sellers and get us banned?

Or would the fact that both accounts can be found at the same IP address allow us to do this with no problems?

Such a trade my be flagged for review, but it shouldn't result in a ban. I helped a guildmate move the same amount from one account to another, and there was no action taken. If it does, just contact support and they'll help straighten it out.

No one knows for sure what flags an account. ANet doesn't give specifics. You could try transferring the gold in smaller than 100k increments and trade items back and forth. Most players feel this helps prevent flagging.

Using the same IP address and, hopefully, having the same registration address, might help if you do get banned.

I have, in the guildhall, given a guildmate 100k with no repercussions. I was sharing a EL tonic sale with him.

If you're worried have your wife trade you a feel useless gold items while trading. I transfer stuff between accounts fairly often though and have yet to get banned.

You will be fine. I have moved 1000k between accounts more times then I can remember. If you were moving 1000k out of your main account 5 or 6 times a day for a while you might get looked at.

trade 100K against an bone or so, or a useless dye.
and if you get banned, a single mail to support will fix it.
i got banned for gold buying, some guildy gave me 100K becouse he stopped with GW.

Just did a 900k transfer between my Mule and main, SO YOU DONT HAVE TO. ill let you know if i get hit with the BAN HAMMA!

1. Trading largish amounts of gold between people is normal and happens quite often. I would assume that, if/when a flag is raised, the folks at ANet would look to see how often one of the accounts does it, the IPs involved, etc. As people have said, it's been done by lots of people without problems.

2. I would think that trading 100k for a bone would be more likely to raise a flag than a simple transfer. Who pays 100k for a bone? A better idea would be to trade for lockpicks or ectos, or something like that that is often sold in "bulk", if you feel you have to.
