Im going to be very brief but banner ads on some of the larger p2p sites are responsible for redirects and ultimately malware(trojans, trojan downloaders etc.)

If you use FireFox and visit these sites i suggest:
No Script:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722
Ad Block Plus:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865

If you've been infected, this is an effective and free virus removal program:

AVG Free typically stops all of those, and I also use IE7 Pro which has ad blocker.

NoScript is garbage after the crap they pulled with AdBlockPlus.

Malwarebytes is an anti-malware, not an antivirus... A quality AV is avast.

I'm confused, IE does stand for Internet Exploder right?

Adblock Plus is good stuff.

Care to elaborate? I haven't heard anything about this, aside from them working with adblock, which doesn't make it garbage.

Avast restricts you from going anywhere near your registry, which is a big no no for me, AVG is more than enough.

Thank you very much for the tip, I do feel very secure using ResolutionsMSP.. but one can never have enough protection.
