About the Vaettir Nerf

Hey, i was wondering what did they nerf at vaettir keg farming?

u can still farm em on an ele without kegs =D a little bit slower though ;-)

I'd say it's on average about 2 golds a run, so if you're selling them as unids (7/4.5k) then you'd make a decent amount of money =)

Well its all about speed. Time spent vs money earned. Now it isn't worth the time compared to other farms (like raptor farming).

Technically, not really. The run getting to the vaettirs takes quite a bit of time in which it only takes the ele a 3 minute run from Longeye's allowing them to go reach their and eliminate a lot of the time that the perma had to run there originally.

Also, as mentioned, kegs now have a timer in between each drop so you can't drop as many as you want as fast as you can.

Also vaetires sadly have high ar vs ele dmg so sliver sins and eles have a hard time with them.Its something anet shud fix as i reckon out of all gw foes they are most imba armor wise but i believe you can still burn them to death faster than sliver can kill them all.

aoeclald - i think eragon was refering to them being slivered by ele rather than keg - nothing used to be faster than kegging an now its just a lot slower on any profession.

Spiritz when eles farm them they don't use SA they use Crystal Wave and Tenai's Crystal. So its aoe dmg. Also I think it is "foe takes dmg" so not elemental (I might be way wrong about this)

They made it so you cant spam kegs

Wait... Spitiz so... you are saying something is imbalanced because 1 player has a slow time killing over 50 monsters at once. Not that he can't, but that it is too slow, and therefore it is the MONSTERS that are overpowered.

It's official, Anet are stupid. I will no longer play this game because Anet keep messing it up with stupid nerfs, I was thinking about getting GW2 but there's no way in hell I'm doing that now. I hope Anet go bankrupted for what they have done to this game.
They don't give a damn about the players, all they care about is getting money and making what was once a great game into a lame game.

That is not true.
Anet does care bout us, because without us they wouldn't make money. But anyways, they do this because else you would get too easy money and the whole economy of GW would fail. Goldies are already much less than before, ppl sell them 3k each sometimes.
Hopefully this nerf will restore that

Kris Naga i dont know what ur talking about but its absolute bs. If they ddnt care about us they would not nerf anything. The fact that they nerf things knowing that some players are gonna leave is because they know it will save the game in the long run and make it more enjoyable for the dedicated players. Fact is as much as it was fun and rewarding keg farming was causing unids to lose their value very fast (thus ruining economy and value of gold items) and holiday items were being farmed very quickly making titles less impressive for those who struggled to get it. A team of people who dont care wouldnt have even realised all this.

Your lucky Anet doesnt nerf Perma sins all together; which I might add is WELL overdue. SF is a cheat and an Op skill, PERIOD.

Frankly, im happy keg farming got nerfed, stick it to all you sins who are lost in your meaning to GW.

It took me a long time to get that damn keg farming build and now it's worthless, they add everlasting items that are more than 50 ecto's each, you think I'm going to get money the fair way? Hell no, I played this game for years and it was great at the start but it has been nerfed over and over again, greens are now worthless, the people who play are jackasses , the guilds suck, even after the 4th year update they try and milk money from the players which they promised they would never do.

People scam like crazy on this, people falsely report, people get banned for no reason, there's so many reasons why this game has turned bad and it's no surprise to see kaineng deserted now.
People have lost interest, the builds they have spent years working on are now worthless, no doubt the raptor build will be nerfed soon, then they will delete perma sin making sins useless.

Well I say no, you mess with my character and my game and you lose my respect and I say no to GW2, my money and my time is going towards something worthwhile, something that doesn't involve me looking at this damn screen, I have a life and I won't allow the corrupt Anet to steal any more of my time.

I think that boycotting GW2 is a little much.

That being said, I came up with a nice Perma build for my Mes that allowed me to farm holiday items. Some of us have things like jobs, girlfriends, and... lives.

I have already resigned myself to not maxing titles on all my toons. I am not asking to make the titles easier. All I expect is for Anet to just let some of this stuff slide. If the economy slides, so be it.

People can quit selling that stuff, and just use it. What a novel concept, eh?

In my alliance, I heard the "Woot, in 40 minutes - 1 hour, I vanqed Drakkar Lake by myself kegging."

Drakkar Lake isn't the only area kegging was capable of farming, however since I'm not big on doing perma, I don't know the whole list. But there are quite a few. Also, the time I listed is what a normal sab/discord/balanceway team should finish a vanq, how in the hell is it plausible that one person is soloing it in the same amount of time?

I think this is the reason it was nerfed, not because of the vaettir farming for event items. If this was the case, they would nerf the ele bar of the same capability.
