Hey Guru Folks,
Today I asked myself- What is "Feather Farming"? And I couldn't find the answer. What professions do it? How do they do it? And where do they do it?
Thanks everybody!
Feather Farming?

The Feathers referred to are the Common Crafting Material. They are used for crafting the Essence of Celerity, and are thus worth a lot more than other common materials.
Typically, the mobs farmed are the Tengu in North Kryta Province outside of Lion's Arch and D'Alessio Seaboard. I farm them with a friend using the 600/Smite team in HM, and have had great success. Any profession should be able to adequately farm them in NM, since they are not high-level foes. Most of your troubles will come from physical attacks, however, Caromi Tengu Wild's carry [[Shatter Enchantment] which can be a real pain to builds that rely heavily on enchantments. Furthermore, the Mesmer Boss (if he spawns) carries [[Drain Enchantment] and [[Power Drain]. [[Shadow Form (PvE)] builds will have some trouble due to the Elementalist Boss carrying [[Flame Burst], and the Monk Boss carrying [[Holy Strike]. The route you take is rather simple. I have attached the path you should take below.
Should you decide to do this, be aware that Feathered Caromi Scalps can be exchanged during Halloween and Wintersday for festival items, so don't sell them to the merchant.

hunni - i tried that too but cannot get past those dumb yetis
after them it's a piece of cake. but considering time, my warrior farm in same place is probably more profitable. time is 20 minutes (do it on nm) - no sweating, no swearing, just buttons spamming.
use same build as on elemental farming by the ascalon in hm.

Note, this is for farming in North Kryta Province, not Jaya Bluffs. I've never tried this, but you should do fairly well with a R/N Touch build. Try bringing the following:
Wilderness Survival 8+2
Expertise 10+1+1
Blood Magic 12
[Vampiric Bite][Vampiric Touch][Strip Enchantment][I Am Unstoppable][Dwarven Stability][Storm Chaser][Troll Unguent][Greater Conflagration]
Keep the spirit up (and somewhere safe) and maintain Storm Chaser using Dwarven Stability. Use Troll Unguent to counter degen from [[Conjure Phantasm] and [[Immolate]. Spam your touch skills on foes, and use Strip Enchantment on the Monk Boss to remove [[Healing Breeze] and [[Vigorous Spirit]. Use I Am Unstoppable for an armor boost for more survivability. Bring a +5 energy Sword/Axe/Spear, and a Blood Magic Offhand with +10AL vs Fire, and +30 Health.

Look at the post here for more info on feather farming.
I like to use this build on my necro in Jaya Bluffs, but any profession can use it as long as they're /Rit 2ndary. Normal mode of course.

A high-ish asura rank is better of course but not really needed, ditto with Deldrimor rank. Change out Mindbender for pretty much any other running skill. You can pretty much just run in and button mash and they die fast enough.

I did it with E/Me Sandstorm Terra Tank and R/N Toucher build (posted above).

I can get 10 minute runs with this. I used to have a slightly better version, but I had to wipe my HD and lost everything
I think this and Jade's build have the fastest run times. I think there was an ele that had comparable times as well that was completely different.
